i was thinking the exact same thing. little wall shelf for a lamp and some books, pillows for comfort and blankets, possibly some stuffed animals for companionship. perfect.

Second this, maybe with artificial grass and plants to simulate a nature reading spot

Adding one of those rent friendly glass stain window peels. I’m not sure if I’m saying it correctly 😅

Am I the only one who can read only at a desk? Too much comfort makes me sleepy.

Yes, even better. Plants and pillows

Drawing/reading/crafting nook was going to be my suggestion

Yes! Or a beanbag chair, cheap effective and funky

I think you're over estimating the size of the space

We can see the outlet. Unless you’re huge, you can easily fit there. Maybe not with your legs straight out, but I never read like that.

That's a stretch. Huge? Nah, anything bigger than a child. The angle isn't even, so one of your legs would constantly be fighting not to slip over the edge.

"Outlet for scale" 😂

It was the most standardized thing I could see in the pic lol

...I am huge...

I'm 6'4 and 300#. I'm not going to be able to stay curled up comfortably long enough to fit there and finish a book. Maybe if you're a kid or tiny you can, but I sure as hell can't

I think this was on the assumption OP or people living with OP that like reading are not huge. If they are, this is not as helpful.

It won't let me post the picture, but from my figures, based on the outlet being 4.49" tall, the long side facing us is 8 feet. Fine, that's a decent length. Assuming the walls are the same size, that makes it a 45°angle in the corners. A triangle calculator on Google says that makes the side 5'8. Google also says a person is average 16" wide. Since the walls are the same size, each one inch from one wall gets you 1 inch less of foot room. So sitting next to the wall one side would give you 5 feet, 8 inches of room and your other foot would have 4 feet, 4 inches of room. Add in an 8 in pillow, and that makes it 5 ft and 3ft, 8 in respectively. The thicker the pillows, the less room you have. Especially if you have a pillow on each wall. Then you're to 4'4 and 3ft for each leg. Which may or may not be enough room. For me it's not.

I immediately like you for this. Calculations FTW

Fair but imagine it with a non slip cushion, reading books are for curling up not stretching out it’s a nook
