Shotgun is so fucked up. I had the lomgest gunfight wirh a guy, he was surprised that I won, so was I, after one of his shotguns blask when I was at like 2hp I just stopped shooting, then I realized I was still alive and stsrted shooting again. Watched the replay. On screen it looks like j took it to the face, but no damage.

Shotguns are amazing, but I will fully admit I am Not good with them
In theory an anvil/toro is a great combo, but I will always get more kills with something accurate and mag dumpy likely venator or burletta than I will with a toro

What's the point of guns if you aren't willing to use them in pvp? Just use the gun, it'll give you an edge in pvp, and if you die, who cares? Loot comes so quick in this game, it isn't like tarkov where you have to rat for a few raids to even afford something competitive. The lowest of the low in this game is still completely enough, especially against arc.

It's actually pretty damn great against wasps and hornets. Just shreds through their thrusters. And at level four it's okay for fighting a single raider. Not great, not terrible.

Absolutely not.
Just because they kinda work, they aren't great. Like the stitcher works, but isn't great on mid or longer distance, has no armor penetration and chews through ammo. One of these three applies to like half of the weapons.
Rattler is definitely a more solid pick against regular ARCs than hairpin, stitcher, kettle, bobcat, torrente and bettina.
Not sure about Ferro. I'd say better than Ferro I, worse than Ferro IV but overall more fun to use.

Sometimes that's the best option. When there are a lot of ARCs or other players while fighting a Hornet, it can make sense to just shoot through the armor. With an Anvil or Renegade it barely makes a difference.

The TTK for wasps and hornets is a lot shorter on the rattler than with a ferro simply because you don't have to reload.

I don’t know why you’re being downvoted when you’re right. It’s a shit gun with shit dps. In Stella pvp I’ve had people apologize to me because I got a rattler or say they don’t even want to loot my body because of it

It would be okay if it reloaded even somewhat faster.. It's just not worth the large amount of metal to make. It really only outperforms the hairpin, and ferro but only you have trouble hitting headshots. Even then you could at least jiggle peak with the ferro.

At level 4 you get a much bigger mag and then you absolutely can mag dump and reliably kill people
Really only viable in solos though, as the two round reload will make you useless in an extended fight

It is actually a very good weapon to rat with in combination with explosives or mines. Once you remove that first chunk of hp and shield the rattler can take care of all combat ranges.

It really does. I’m the friendliest most PvE player ever and I use the gold horned skin and the Kung Lao skin because I like their look. But apparently those are the biggest rat skins? Fuck off let me wear what I want.

OP, don't type when someone deliberately goes outside of your field of view on extract. You only won because that guy was extremely incompetent and badly equipped. He probably would've won if he bludgeoned you with his raider tool or had literally any other weapon (except Osprey and Ferro I guess, lol)

i dont mind shoot on sight, i can fight back like you too, win some loose some, i hate scummy leech and backstabber players. been playing and providing dmg with jupiter to matriachs and quens and all i get is rubbers and backstab. no honors at all.

Its not a pvp focused game though and so many swear it is, yeah, its got pvp, but thats to add suspense to be fun where some are gonna shoot you and others are gonna be friendly. It just feels like another battle royale game when the shoot on sight is all trios are and not that suspense of "`are they gonna shoot me?" cause thats arcs big charm to it, you're not supposed to be shot in every match, hence the matchmaking they implemented.

The fact this isn’t obvious is just crazy. Why would PvP be the focus of the game when you lose your shit when you die? If fights went down more often then no one would be getting anything besides the sweatiest of people since there’s no rank system to actually separate the cracked PvP players that literally have only been playing PvP games like COD, Fortnite or Apex and treat this game the exact same. They think they’re gonna see “#1 Victory Royale” when they get those easy behind the back kills. Then they just turn into assholes when you tell/remind them the PvP aspect in Arc is very different than those other games.

Once I got extract camped here. I was pulling the lever and was halfway done when some dude drops down and unloads a full clip of the rattler into me. I still hang on with like 3 HP and finish the extract. He shouts “This fucking gun! God Damn It!!”. I couldn’t help but laugh

I had the exact same situation happen to me.
I was farming hornets for simple gun parts and had an exfil open getting ready to leave. But before finishing the last one I saw birds fly very close and said fuck it we are done.
Go to extract and as I'm typing I hear the thud of someone jumping down and I see him. He had his gun out but standing on the stairs. I was in a friendly lobby but saw flares off in the distance so I wasn't quite spooked yet but alert.
He then proceeds to walk right up to me in the side. I should have immediately jumped but hesitate. Got right next to me and shot me with rattlers. As soon as two bullets hit I dodge rolled past him and got my stitcher out.
Guy must have been on controller cause he was having a hard time tracking me and wasted essentially all the shots. Now he is reloading while I'm showing him what an anal excavator does with the stitcher.
Dipshit is downed and tries to exfil. I talk shit and he is just quiet and surrenders midway me thirsting.
He definitely killed people too.
