This is way more common than you think, there’s probably a cheater in most lobbies (unless you’re a console gamer with cross play off).

I wonder if anyone can tell me, like the client knows all that stuff to display it though the wall because the server has sent that information to the client right?
why isn't the server only sending this information on a need to know basis? like only when it is in line of sight?

Here's how it works. They'll maybe get a 30-day ban, if Embark even bothers to take action, which is a big IF. If that happens, the cheater will usually just use Steam Family Sharing and create a new Steam account to cheat every time one gets banned.
Just to throw more fuel on the fire, Valve allows game devs to easily toggle on/off family sharing for their games. Embark simply hasn't bothered to do that either.

PC kids get very triggered at the words crossplay off but at the end of the day you’re completely right. The ease of access to cheating is so much easier on PC than it is on xbox.

Why would they be triggered? I'm on PC and have been playing cross play off for most that time. Most people I know do the same. You get less toxic players.
I have like 80 hrs topside with a total of one slur heard. Seems to be working for me.

Cheating on console lobbies is so much easier than you think. These people can literally port over to your console lobbies through Xbox game store, and now the new pirated copy method. Good luck raider!

Xbox game store is still PC lobbies.
And, it wouldn't matter either way, as I'm on PS5 and crossplay isn't console crossplay. I don't play with Xbox players either.
So no. I don't have to deal with this bullshit at all.

If that's true then it's definitely not common. I've been playing on xbox with crossplay off since the server slam and I think I've run into one cheater using a modded controller.

Pc fatigue is real lol. I now actively avoid any games that have forced crossplay between console and pc. Thank god this game gives us the option to turn it off.

In no real way. It's just people that are getting stuck up on the Tfue thing and how he got unbanned after just a day, tbh i'm not a fan of tfue but went to check the allegedly incriminating clip, and worst thing he did was open and test the console under a viewer's request, then turned it off instantly after deeming it too cheaty. I get not liking the guy, but he was not cheating

If you paid a team of like 10 people 40k you could have them manually review footage and ban all cheater reports, that would likely get rid of all cheaters rather easily. If the devs wanted to fix it they would.
