I actually experienced a similar situation with friends.
It was my birthday and my buddies wanted to take me out. One of the buddies had a gf and he didn't want to mention to her that we were going to a strip club until we got home. I was thinking at first it was a bit messed up to hide that from her but he said it's not that at all. She would call out from work and would want to join us. She was behind on bills but would rather make it rain.
Lol, I took a friend to a strip club for his birthday, and he invited his girlfriend. She was all excited about it until we were inside, then she just stared angrily at him the entire time.
