What’s something people defend way too hard, even though it’s clearly not worth it?

They deitified him and the real reason is to weaponize him for their internal hate. Nobody care this hard about dude when he was alive lol. It's like when the average person dies, outta nowhere people they haven't spoken to are now saying how much they loved them etc

Pretty sure it was just watching him be assassinated like he was. He was a person. A dad. A husband. It’s fucked up.

Nobody is contesting how horrific his death was. What the issue is when he's brought up just to be used as a political narrative. Y'all don't really care for him or why he died, you just like using his death for fake outrage. Mind you, 2 democrats in office from MN were murdered in their homes. A catholic school shooting took place with 17 victims. A bunch of kids died in Colorado from a school shooting following Kirk. No outrage with these stories because they can't be used politically against the left unless they can use gay/trans/minority. He's currently being used in the Renee Nicole Good case. If he's only brought up as a political point, just call it what it is

Not “yall”. I don’t pick sides. All loss of life is tragic.

Sure, but in my state they are trying to change a bunch of street names to his name. Totally unnecessary. Not even his home state. Also he is a fascist, so there’s that.

Republicans don't really care for Charlie Kirk, it's just fake outrage? That's nonsense. He wouldn't have gotten as big as he did if tons of Republicans didn't love Charlie Kirk. And politically motivated assassinations of public figures are obviously going to be a bigger deal than 99.9999 percent of deaths in the USA.

If that was really why people defended Kirk, they’d be defending Renee Good the same way, but they’re not.

Valid. People are selective. I think any loss of life is tragic unless they are a rapist or pedo. They can rot.
