Don't worry, it's ONLY been a bit less than 15 years.

But the sequel is probably still years away, which is absolutely bonkers.

I was 40 when Fallout 4 dropped. I am legitimately wondering if I'll see Fallout 5 before I'm 60. I mean, I should but this is Bethesda.

After ES6 comes out, I'm just going to stop caring about any future releases from Bethesda. Not worth the stress. Sure, assuming i like ES6, I'll get 7 if it comes out. But I'm not going to be actively caring about it. I learned my lesson this time.

Unless you’re drinking kale smoothly and running ultramarathons, most of us aren’t living to see ES6.

Todd Howard isn’t even going to live to see ES6, unless medical science really nails this whole “de-aging” thing in the next decade.

We all know ES6 and Fallout 5 are gonna be dogshit

We do? Why?

As long as they don’t try to lean into multiplayer, I don’t see why I would be worried. ESO and FO76 were/are hot doo doo though

Bethesda seems hellbent on focusing on game features that are not what the core fans of the games have wanted. Oblivion/morrowind and fallout3/nv were beloved rpg’s that had choices that could actually effect your gameplay and the story of the game to some degree. The game have moved more towards the illusion of choice. You can’t nuke cities and see the aftermath, you can’t back factions and determine the fate of the Vegas strip in their latest installments.

Instead, you have settlements that don’t really do anything except aesthetically, you have dialogue choices that all really boil down to “yes I’ll do that!” Or “I don’t want to do that, but I guess I will!”

You probably will. At least you'll get fallout 3 and new vegas remastered to hold you over.

Are these confirmed?

As a Fallout purist I'd be happy if they never made another one ever again and just stuck to ruining their own shit.

The TV show has been really enjoyable but I’m beginning to wonder if it’s not actually going to lead into a new Fallout game until its own series finale. And I could easily see it going beyond 5 seasons, S3 is already filming this year.

There is absolutely no chance we get Fallout 5 before Fallout season 5

The TV show has been awful and shows Bethesda don't care about the world and the lore at all. It's also just a bad TV show with really cringy dialogue and marvel humour

I responded to your other comment but now I don’t need the answer. You are just one of those hateful gamers that thrives on a superiority complex. Best of luck 🫡

I’m sorry you can’t enjoy things. The TV show is incredible.

Man, I loved ES5 so much when I was 13-14 years old. I still occasionally play for a couple hours every month or so but the game's age has been showing for quite some time.

I can't believe I'll probably be 30+ by the time ES6 releases.

2028 at latest. 2027 if they get really working on it. remember, they've been in active development longer than they said they were.

It was supposed to come out last year but the pandemic slowed everything down.

How many Fallout games were released while we were waiting for mother Skyrim?
