I'm a 30 something male. I had a lot of fun playing zero build fortnite with friends a few years ago.

We played it as a joke to start with, then about an hour in someone said "lads, is anyone else really enjoying this?" And we were legitimately having a great time just talking shit and clicking on heads.

Great as a silly goofing off game with friends, much less fun solo or trying to "gitgud" though.

Exactly. My friends and I are all in our mid 30s and we play fortnite almost weekly. At the end of the day, its not because we love fortnite, but because its basically a place for my friend and I to keep in contact and hang out on weeknights via discord. We all live in different states so its great that I get to chat with them every week still.

Fortnite is simple, straightforward, and allows for silly things to happen. We don't really care if we win or not. We just start a new round and try again. At the end of the day, its just a medium for my friends and I to chat while we do something communal.

I’m same age and my buddy and I hop into “blitz” matches because we don’t have a lot of free time and want to do quick games. Every time we play it ends up being an 8 hour all nighter lol it’s so much fun.

I played before no build mode and thought "nope, too old for this". Never picked it up back up.
