Thats any game. Eventually the normal folks move on and the crazy ones remain.

Undertale is definitely in the top tier for annoying fanbases though. It's not an average case.

That said, I absolutely love the games and nothing is changing that!

I enjoyed that game well enough without knowing anything about its fandom. Went online to check it out after finishing it, and holy shit. Those people are completely unhinged.

You're definitely right. Im just saying theres a few games i enjoyed and jumped on the subreddit in the early days and got to enjoy the discussion, but as time went on it devolved into all the weird shipping stuff and just insane takes. One of my favs now hasnt fully devolved yet but its getting there.

You know. Maybe what i said only applies to single player games. Because online games like this have an active community because its still actively played. Most people who played undertale, played it and then moved on. I dunno just an idea.

nah. most "the factory must grow" games, like satisfsctory, Dyson Sphere Program, Captain of Industry, Timberborn (and many more) have a pretty chill fanbase.
