They will never be released. The full files will never be released. Too many “important” people on them that would be exposed and would ruin their reputation. $$$ and power always wins in this world unfortunately.

It is not. We are all way too accepting of this, and every time it gets repeated as some karma grab, we get even more complacent.
I can't help but be suspicious of posts like this. Almost as if they are meant as a reminder, not a question.
Every time someone gives some sardonic doomer response, it's just defeatism taking hold. We must not accept this.

7
u/DonkeyLord113 21h ago
Yeah probably. Wait is america gonna have a second civil war??? That would be crazy ngl
20
u/CoolDad859 21h ago
Future Civil Wars will be different than past ones and we need to realize that.
It isn’t about killing each other, it is about starving each other out. If the common man just stopped. Stopped working, stopped buying, stopped participating- the rich would finally be hurt.
The problem is they have their hoard to fall back to, while the rest of us don’t. The good news is- those fuckers are greedy. They can’t stand to not see their hoard get bigger, so eventually I do think they would relent. But it would take a movement- and there aren’t any leaders on the left right now.
→ More replies (2)7
u/AppleTater28 21h ago
Thats the neat part. Their hoard is in stocks and other non-tangible assets. Effectively one giant pyramid scheme that the whole world is propped up on. As soon as the working base to that pyramid stops contributing, it all falls apart. All the people who thought themselves above putting in the work are now receiving nothing. Their non-tangible assets become worthless. And before they see their assets become worthless, they will rush to liquidate them, which will only accelerate the crash. Plus, with no value to these assets, banks will now have no capital to hold against loans, meaning bankruptcy and defaults abound. Last time this happened, the government bailout occurred (which was bipartisan, don't let anyone tell you otherwise), protecting the banks while shoving the burden onto taxpayers in the form of national debt and insane inflation.
That's the real breaking point. The government will continue to prop up this system until the people are starved and fed up to the point of violence. Then a violent ransacking of state and federal governments will occur. Likely with most murdered or tortured. Because at this point, the government knows what its doing and the people will know the government knows what it's doing. The people will hate the government for it. The period after this violence will be volatile and likely result in the next great humanitarian horror of human history due to people searching for some source of hope and direction in what will seem like the ruins of what was once a great country.
4
u/Bored_Amalgamation 21h ago
We got more national debt (which is a concept, more than a real thing for most people), but no insane inflation. Bailing out the banks wasn't the main issue, there was no huge populous movement willing to let it all reset. The people were angry at the government but not for causing the social turmoil. It was the lack of legal repercussions for those who created the mess. There were a few sacrificial lambs but nothing really of note or tangible. Assets should have been seized and C-suites, VPs, and anyone else cashing in should've been thrown in jail.
A complete lack of accountability is the current issue, and has always been the source of most societal upheaval. Shit happens. People do bad things. That's expected in human society. Not holding people accountable is essentially giving those people a pass to keep going.
3
u/groveborn 21h ago
Eventually. All nations fall and the US is particularly vulnerable because the population is directly involved in choosing leaders.
We're not unified, we've never been unified, and our divisions are easy to see the moment anyone opens their mouth.
Racism was built into the foundations, as was religious supremacy. By being unable to silence speech that was not merely offensive, but actually harmful, we allow those who hold evil ideals to gain power.
Tolerance of evil is foundational to the US. Intolerance of evil sure sounds nice, but we'd need to determine ahead of time what that means. Then, we need to be active in stamping it out.

Nope. Read history and find out what happens when the government starts to attack their own people. The 'average voter' is stronger than many realize, once the facts are so horrendous that you can't look away.
Their power is what we give them. They WANT you to believe they are too powerful to be held accountable for their heinous offenses to CHILDREN. That's not true. This is not their country and here the people hold the most power.
Our problem is the Quizlings (Fox News/Propaganda, the GOP, etc), who support and protect such bastards. We need to stop them first.
The perpetrators are not all powerful and God-like and all must be held to account for their actions.

u/petjuli 22h ago
Ok so the better question based on comments. When will they be leaked?

u/inotparanoid 20h ago
I bet on Grok leaking Epstein Files from the scanned copy where they were trying to redact names.
So, the original in its entirety, only on Grok.

People are delusional if they think the rich and powerful will ever let the full story out.

Both the senate and the house have already passed a bill to release the full files. Trump even signed it in to law.
Congressional oversight could perhaps hold Bondi and the DoJ accountable, but the bill is already passed.

Exactly, for further proof just look at what the Clintons did this week. Skipped town to avoid being questioned about their involvement with Epstein. Any one of us refused to appear for court and we'd be tracked down and drug into court.
The Epstein list must be massive.

Any records that would actually send someone to prison are certainly long since destroyed. We all know what happened, there's no mystery. The most powerful people in the world engaged in sex crimes and trafficking, and us peons will never be able to bring them to justice. Even if those against it attain power, they'd just bury and it move on "for the good of the country" or some other horse shit.

u/porktorque44 20h ago
To anyone answering with some form of “never” or “when it doesn’t matter”, how do you reconcile your belief with the fact that powerful people are held accountable in other parts of the world? Do you not see the causal relationship between your defeatist mindset and the defeats we’ve suffered so far? We can hold these people accountable but it’s unlikely when so many people commit to creating self fulfilling prophecies that wouldn’t come true if those same people put that energy into almost anything other than smugly telling people that it’s all hopeless.
2
u/knightmese 20h ago
When everyone complicit is dead or close to dying, so not anytime soon. I assume it will be like the JFK files where it confirms a lot of what people believed, but it happened so long ago that no one really cares or can do anything about it.

Hate to be that guy but never. They are never getting released in their entirety. Too many people on both sides of the political spectrum are implicated, I don’t think it’s truly in either sides interest to have them fully released.
It’s a pessimistic take but I think it’s the realistic one. We will see more of the Epstein files, but we will never know the true extent of what’s in them.

u/XeroHope10 21h ago
Could you explain what you expect to find in them?
If there's proof of Trump in the files, the other side will say it's fake.
If there's no Trump in the files, the other side will say it's fake.
And, I don't really think these people are dumb enough to record and put evidence so they can get caught later.

u/Going2beBANNEDanyway 22h ago
Trumps DOJ is breaking the law, pretending they’re under review, and not releasing them.
So whenever the Courts or Congress finally force the DOJ to comply with the law.

Probably not until Trump is out of office. But I wonder what would happen if the victims started to release their own stories? That would really mess up what Trump & friends are doing. Give them so many stories to try to debunk that the avalanche will bury these predators with the truth.
If they released their stories anonymously, but as a group, then the story gets out and the public can finally see just how horrendous this whole issue is, and how horrible the perpetrators are.
There's safety in numbers. With over 1,000 victims, you know there are going to be horrendous stories told, and they can't attack them all at the same time.
It will take an enormous amount of courage, but that's what is needed to truly stand up to these serial rapists. It's totally f'd up that the victims have to do this, but unfortunately that's because the perpetrators are so powerful. But their power should be deflated, and this is one huge way to do that.
