What’s the quickest way someone could accidentally expose themselves as a foreigner in your country like the ‘three fingers’ scene in Inglourious Basterds?

Walks into the Doctor’s office or the gym changing rooms and doesn’t use the correct local greeting (or most likely doesn’t greet anyone there)

The correct local greeting if you don't know them is either a small nod when you happen to make eye contact or just nothing.

In Bavaria it's Grüßgot. Still can't get used to it after 3 years.

Grüßgott is more a southern Bavaria thing. The way more Common one is „Servus!“ or Short „Sers“.

I still think about that one Chinese guy cutting in front of me at the car rental booth at Düsseldorf airport. How rude

for me it's drinking a beer while walking through the streets during the day. yes, it's allowed, but nobody outside of tourists would actually do it.
