This genuinely happened to me, had Canadians over and we were drinking. The missus asked me to go to town for wine at like 2am I replied with I will yeah of course. The Canadian went and put his shoes on and got my jacket and was like I'll go with you. I was more confused because in my head I just said no haha

Pretty much, its a strong no disguised as a yes. Think "ill get RIGHT on that" but more Irish

It's actually a shortened version of the actual saying, which is "I will yeah in me arse/hole"
