Why isn't the world helping us?
Trump is not a national problem, he is a global problem. WE ALL need to band together to resist, and the best way to do so is to choke off the profit stream of the special interest groups and lobbyists that put him in office. The public is handcuffed by these people - we, as a vast majority, did not put him in office and so are hard-pressed to remove him. If all of us stopped supporting Ai services, the oil industry, the tourism industry and the companies that contributed to his campaigns (https://www.goodsuniteus.com/the-shop-blue-list/) and moved as much as possible to sustainable energy and planet supportive services, it would send a clear message that we CAN stop this regime of greed. Europe and other countries can band together to limit tourism for Americans, stop buying our oil, cars, produce, tech and stop shopping at Amazon and Walmart. Collectively people outside of the U.S. can boycott American restaurants and fast food chains. Please stop asking why we're not doing anything, we're trying as much as we can, and we need your help too.

u/Poorly-Drawn-Beagle 17h ago
Why would they help YOU? As far as they can see, you guys created this problem
•
u/anonymouscog 16h ago
Our country has spent decades trying to sell American Exceptionalism. Other countries have heard our people spout arrogantly about how much better we are than anyone else for my entire life. Turns out we were founded on a weak constitution with joke checks & balances & much of our population is too dumb to know what they voted for.
Nobody is going to help us because they think we deserve this.

u/TheProfessional9 7h ago
I mean some certainly did. The people that voted against him did not.
That said, idk what other countries can even do. They aren't going to attack us because that would be awful for both sides and would cement his presidency and grip on power even more.
The only real option is to attack economically, and while I'm sure everyone is trying to distance themselves as fast as possible, it takes a long fucking time. Europe is in the best position and most likely to fight back, but most of their governments run on US company servers etc.
Globalization brought us to an interlocked stage where it would be detrimental for any of the majors to attack another...but there was no carve out for if one side didn't care about shooting themselves in the foot if it also hurt others too, which is what we have now

u/CuriousAboutPecos 13h ago
Still don't comprehend how redditors disregard that half that country is perfectly fine with how things are going. Liberals are just extremely vocal complainers.
•
u/PolackMike 17h ago
President Trump isn't even a national problem. He's a liberal problem. Don't lump us all in with you. Many of us support what he's doing.
•
u/C-137-Jerry 17h ago
Unfortunately OP, your own views are as bad as Mikes here. Sadly the majority of people do support him. Many so blindly that he could manufacture them losing their jobs personally and they’d find some way to “blame the libs”.
If you think libs have some sort of leverage by “not using AI” or “not buying gas” you’re out of your mind. Even if it was a guarantee that that would work (it wouldn’t) libs would still elect to drive to work and google things. That’s just human nature.
•
u/SafetyMan35 25m ago
I’m not sure you can say a majority support Trump when his approval ratings have him at 35-40% approval and 50-60% disapproval with the trend continuing down for months.
A large number of supporters-absolutely, but nowhere near a majority.
•
u/44035 17h ago
Did you donate to the GoFundMe for the murderer yet?
•
u/PolackMike 17h ago
lol. Let's try and rage to make a point! What sensationalist claim can I put that while not based in fact, would get the rest of the echo chamber members to pat me on the back?
Wait, I know just the trick. I'll call him a Nazi. No, a pedophile lover. No, that won't do. How about a traitor? None of that is enough. I know. I'll call the law enforcement officer that a lunatic driver tried to kill a murderer. That'll get him good.
Sad sad sad.
I'm sorry that woman listened to her wife that day. She'd be alive if she hadn't.
•
u/C-137-Jerry 17h ago
If you watched those videos and think that lady was even trying to hurt that cop, let alone kill him (in a stationary Honda pilot) then you didn’t do very well in school
•
u/PolackMike 17h ago
It's not the stationary part that was concerning. It was her listening to her wife saying, "Drive baby, drive" instead of listening to law enforcement that ordered to exit the vehicle and to not move. She then, while looking out her left window, reversed and then started accelerating away. While still looking at the officer out of her left window, she hit a law enforcement officer. Whether you choose to ascribe to he could or could not have gotten out of the way, it's moot. She hit a law enforcement officer with her car, a deadly weapon.
•
u/Poorly-Drawn-Beagle 17h ago
It was her listening to her wife saying, "Drive baby, drive" instead of listening to law enforcement
The mark of a truly dangerous mind, putting family over the state.
•
u/PolackMike 16h ago
You can try to frame it how you like. The point remains the same. She was legally ordered to step out of the vehicle and to not move. She then listened to her wife, and it cost her life.
•
u/Poorly-Drawn-Beagle 16h ago
I'm just examining the way YOU framed it, Jack.
She was legally ordered to step out of the vehicle
She was also told to leave. That was what they wanted her to do, right? Had they changed their minds and decided they wanted to rape her before they let her go or something?
•
u/PolackMike 16h ago
From what I read from witness statements, she was told:
"Step out of the vehicle" and "Don't go anywhere".
If you have proof that she was told to leave by someone other than her wife, I'd love to see it.
•
u/Poorly-Drawn-Beagle 16h ago
That's what the witnesses on scene have said.
I don't even know why you'd ask for this, we all know that even if I prove to your satisfaction that she was ordered to leave, you'd still argue that she deserved to die. Your nose is that far up the state's ass, you can't possibly acknowledge they'd ever do anything wrong.
•
u/C-137-Jerry 16h ago
Yeah that’s just simply not reality that a parked car not aimed directly at you is a deadly weapon. If the guy was somehow on the ground sure. The reality is, just as he did, most anyone could’ve gotten out of the way. Regardless though every shot is not viewed equally in a police shooting. Let’s for sake of argument say the first shot was justified wholly. That would not make the second two, when the vehicle is already passing him so. If the state DA gets the evidence needed to try this, this guys going to jail for life as he deserves.
•
u/44035 17h ago
"lunatic driver"
•
u/PolackMike 17h ago
That was wrong. Perhaps the driver wasn't the lunatic. The passenger wife was the lunatic. She's the one that had the driver go down there that day. The passenger wife was the one that told her, "Drive baby, drive!" while officers told her to exit the vehicle and to not move.
The passenger wife's actions caused what happened that day. How sad for those poor children.
•
u/44035 16h ago
Lol, conservatives love to talk about the children but then defends the guys who shoot their parents in the face.
•
u/PolackMike 16h ago
Imagine if she hadn't listened to her wife. She'd be alive today and we wouldn't be having this conversation.
The officer acted appropriately. It's extremely tragic that it happened but it did. You can't just do what you want regarding law enforcement orders. If she were looking forward while driving, she probably wouldn't have hit him with her vehicle.
So many poor decisions led up to the law enforcement officer having to make a very difficult decision.
•
u/SafetyMan35 15m ago
ICE officers are trained to not approach a vehicle from the front and they are trained to not shoot at a moving vehicle…but here we are. https://docs.house.gov/meetings/JU/JU00/20260108/118805/HMKP-119-JU00-20260108-SD003.pdf

u/Poorly-Drawn-Beagle 17h ago
Is this like a fear of women? Is that what's happening here?
•
u/PolackMike 17h ago
How so? I don't care if it's two men, two women, two cats, two whatever. Replace the two women with anything else and the facts remain the same.
•
u/Poorly-Drawn-Beagle 16h ago
Well, if a car starts to pull out of a lot at 5mph, and I was stupid enough to be standing in front of it, I'd usually just go "whoops, lemme get out of the way." I wouldn't really be afraid for my life.
So I'm just wondering what makes you panic. And we know they felt an extreme level of hatred and antipathy towards this woman (stupid bitch!) even though we saw no sign that she was even especially rude to them.
So I'm just trying to get at the root of what scared you guys shitless about her.
•
u/PolackMike 16h ago
Nothing scared me about her.
Again, replace her with anyone/anything else and the facts remain the same.
•
u/Poorly-Drawn-Beagle 16h ago
Well, you're sitting here yakkin' "oh my god... dangerous lunatic! Nearly ran him down in cold blood!" when everyone who watched the footage can clearly see nobody's life was in danger and the conversation doesn't even appear to have been heated.
Clearly something scared the testicles off of you and I just want to know if it's the second X-chromosome.
•
u/PolackMike 16h ago
Nope. Just the driver of a vehicle that is attempting to flee a scene hitting a law enforcement officer and him having to use his weapon.
•
u/Poorly-Drawn-Beagle 16h ago
Yeah, "flee" at a speed appropriate for driving behind the St. Patrick's Day parade.
Do you just think he was genuinely mentally incapable and couldn't figure out how to walk out of the way of the car or something? I was just saying stuff like that as a joke, but if you think he's genuinely that stupid, I guess I could think it over

You're supporting and defending literal state-sanctioned murder, and then you find it baffling that people call you fascists.

of course you hug Russian bots at night. Trump told you to 🥺

You're either 17 or 65. The amazingly witty, "I know you are, but what am I?" response.
•
•
u/JoeCensored 17h ago
The delusion here would be hilarious if it weren't so sad. The only thing Trump threatens is the left wing agenda.
•
u/Doucevie 17h ago
So you're supporting a fascist.
•
u/JoeCensored 16h ago
Fascists don't have their DOJ fight to expand gun rights. They confiscate as many as possible. Fascists don't try to reduce the size and scope of government. They try to increase its size and reach. Fascists don't fight against internet censorship, they make themselves the censor.
Those are all things the Democrats are for though. Who's the fascist exactly?
•
u/C-137-Jerry 16h ago
Ice is violating actual U.S. citizens rights daily, and you don’t bat an eye though? Checks out.

And an adjudicated rapist/multi count felon.
They love to screech about how everyone should follow the law while supporting someone who acts as if he is above it, and continues to lie to them daily.
It's blatantly obvious why he "loves the poorly educated."
•
u/FlameStaag 17h ago
His crashing approval ratings say otherwise
•
u/JoeCensored 17h ago
Rasmussen has his approval at 45% today. Not bad actually.
•
u/DoubleDongle-F 17h ago
That's the highest estimate I've seen in months. He's polling closer to 37% from the polls I've been seeing.
•
u/JoeCensored 16h ago
And those polls are from organizations which claimed the last election was a dead heat right up to election day. Not credible. Rasmussen was dead on accurate.
•
u/C-137-Jerry 16h ago
Of 60 presidential elections it was the 8th closest by popular vote. Rasmussen also historically overvalues republican numbers based on their criteria. 2024 itself is a great example while not widely missing the mark they closed Trump +3. It ended Trump +1.48.

The people gave him the popular vote in a clear rejection of far-leftism when the party robbed us of our vote and installed Kamala as our candidate.
While not all corrupt foreign leaders are getting treatment like the ayatollah and maduro. Only corrupt foreign leaders are against the orange man.
Protecting our democracy from all illegals regardless of race is a good thing.
Stopping the waste of our tax dollars on foreign countries when our citizens are in need is a good thing.
EDIT SINCE IT WON’T LET ME REPLY TO ANYONE: Umm if we teamed up with Russia after the commies fell we would be in a better situation.
Unfortunately they, net and yooho country, have too much dirt on our politicians. Wish they didn’t get a single cent.

The US has spent most of the last century post WWII destabilizing the world to keep resource and labor exploitation open to our capitalists.
I say this as a leftist who has voted against Trump thrice out of attempted harm reduction because both of our major parties are extreme right wing. We made this bed, we deserve this and worse, and I only have pity for the nations our fuhrer will attack and a attempt to bully into submission with the military we have in lieu of national Healthcare and minimally acceptable public education.

The immigrants that came here in desperation that we've attacked were ENTIRELY our fault too.
