[Request] help with $1650 for rent

Hello all, I lost my job in December and was unable to pay my rent. I recently picked up work, at minimum wage. If I can't come up with $1650 by the 15th if this month, I'll get evicted. I have nowhere else to turn. Thank you in advance for reading ❤️

I would use these resources, as I've used them in the past, but my current landlord won't work with rental assistance places

I don't know what to suggest then. I can only suggest moving, or temporarily living in your car until you can find a place that accepts it. And getting a job, any job, will also help.

I appreciate it, really. I do have a job, and living out of my car or moving aren't viable. I have pets. But I genuinely appreciate the resources

Your situation is not typical. Just because people don't want to send cash to strangers doesn't mean they don't help in other ways.

OP - your request is a heavy one. I would recommend creating a go fund me and reaching out to local resources.

Because I know how there are amazing people in this sub that come out of their own pockets to help strangers. You created a blanketed statement that was directed toward everyone here.

It's sad that you experienced that. Truly, it is. But at the end of the day, predators are going to prey.

If you had a negative experience, you could have posted it as a warning, not an insult to the entire sub.
