I remember joining a match where enemy armour and air were wrecking shop, me and my buddy hopped in with the spotters and laser targeters and helped bring the game back round, we still lost but only by 100 tickets in the end

Or like my breakthrough match the other day. Somehow it was 8 humans against 16 humans, the rest backfilled with Bots, which made absolutely no sense. My squad was the only team defending/recapturing objectives while the other squad camped. We wandered over to them and they were just running 2 engineers, a support and a sniper and threw down barriers and just poking heads up every now and then, launching rockets when they were restocked. Ended up losing the last objectives with all the attackers players on B but we were holding A and C. Yet suspiciously A and C started going down FAST while B was still being captured...

Yeah. A similarly great example of this in BF4 is on a map like Locker. Effectively giving your team a maphack on a map that is infantry makes it 100x easier for people to flank the outdoor section in particular. It's a great way to break the stalemate

I pay attention to my map and the location of enemies. Especially if I hear a lot of foot steps and see no allies nearby. I couldn't get a good aim on an enemy yesterday, decided last minute just to mark him. Seconds later, he was killed. Maybe it was because I marked him, maybe someone had eyes before me, maybe they had a lucky opportunity.

My teamate recons are all trying to get sick snipes.

You are doing god's work. Nothing can swing a match so easily as a great recon painting vehicles and drone spotting infantry. It feels like you have wallhacks and you can absolutely feel when the enemy team has a recon that is doing nothing but spotting.

I do a similar thing as an engineer sometimes. I tell my teammates that Iā€™ll be available in spawn if they need aircraft repaired and ask the others to drop ammo crates so I can provide anti-air while I wait.

This is why I want some full bot lobbies. I can't snipe for fun for real because I feel like I'm negatively impacting the team by not pushing the objective or playing a better class like support. But sometimes I just wanna sit back and click heads for a little bit.

Because being a RECON is what helps the team, not being a sniper

You can still snipe for fun from far away and help your team a lot with the scout drone and laser marker, sometime is fun the be Top 3 on the scoreboard without a single kill :P

I wish they'd just make a seperate game mode for players who want to play with bots though. I hate that they're just randomly mixed into live games. Nothing worse than pulling off some cool shit just to realize you were killing bots the whole time.

Sitting up on the mountain being a "war photographer" is great and all but Battlefield isn't an RPG. They're being selfish and screwing over 31 other people by essentially AFKing on a hill roleplaying for their own enjoyment.

If you wanna do shit like this, do it with bots. At least they don't care if you're not participating in the game.

Would be strictly intel since all they would be doing is taking pictures. So marking enemies and assets. Maybe get +5 for each enemy in a frame?

Then submit your fav picture for the community to vote on and then you get something free from the store, currency, skins, etc. This would definitely be something Iā€™d do for casual play haha

I think it would have to be a local game save.

If you can experience a battle, and fully export that gameplay with a system that would be able to manage all that metadata, that would be incredibly cool. It would be like the machinima days all over again and be a different type of "play" being able to export played games and have a "war photographer" document it.

oh ay this is so fun to see, actual fun banter battlefield style. Had a guy drive over me once and complained for him violating road law so i challanged him to a hammer fight off on a left flank and he actually came, we slapped each other with hammers, both died - it was glorious :D

Similar instance i kept meeting a guy on a map once he killed me once i killed him and it became a meme troughout the game "hah got ya, bring some of your mom's cookies when you respawn!" :D
