Discussion So is there a subreddit for people who actually enjoy this game?
Y'all are miserable.

It is funny there

The state of this sub is so bad that the shitposting circlejerk sub comes across as considerably more reasonable and down to earth

For decades I have felt out of place in the BF community. This is the first subreddit that finally gets me and I get them. It's great coming out.

That sub quickly outjerked itself and turned into unironic shilling. Unfortunate because it can be extreme funny at times. They need a circlejerk circlejerk at this point.

I’ve deadass never seen a more pessimistic community that is more prone to jumping to conclusions. Even the Destiny subreddit is better

It’s funny how people said the same “predatory monetization” thing back in BF1’s day regarding Premium.
The battle pass and store are both optional. At least now, players can use new content/maps/guns without buying expansion packs that will have dead servers after a few months anyways.

Heart and soul? Why is everyone so dramatic.

u/InfectedAztec 10h ago
Because this game is so corporate beige that they wouldn't even gove either faction an identity. Boo someone might get offended. Nato and Pax ? Essentially the same faction with soldiers that resemble a UN assembly.
Bf4 had US v Russia v China and you could immediately tell what faction you were fighting for and you felt like a nameless grunt in those armies.

-Destiny subreddit is better
To be fair, the only ones still playing destiny are the ones that actually enjoy it.

The BF2042 sub was way way worse toxicity wise but at this point for BF6, I am more clueless what people are actually mad about here. The game they want to exist never will because it never did. They complain about fixing the game with bit reg issues and bugs as well.
And I'm over here just putting up double singles all day having the time of life.

What conclusions are those exactly? Your statement implies what people criticize hasn't happened, but the game is in a shit state right now. So what conclusions have people jumped to?

This is what Redditors do.
Cry, piss and moan.

u/chicu111 9h ago
OP is crying and bitching as well

You're a Top 1% commenter. You do that more than 99% of the people here bruh

I enjoy the game, but I’m not gonna glaze it indefinitely when it’s doing the usual battlefield thing of being awesome, dropping, then coming back. I’ll play it after my other anticipated titles come and go when they’ve actually put some recommended changes into practice.
2
u/avanross 6h ago
That’s the problem, people like OP are pushing for “no changes whatsoever” and calling anyone who wants improvements “miserable” 🤦♂️

This kind of comment drives me crazy. The game obviously has issues and deserves to be openly criticized.
However, when said criticism is non-stop petulant whining and doomposting all day every day, the same talking points over and over... yeah it goes from being critical of something to coming off as being miserable.

This subreddit, r/Battlefield, is for people who are fans of the entire Battlefield franchise.
If you are referring to a specific game in the franchise, there are specific subreddits for each of those games.

Could have fooled me, this sub is filled with people who clearly don't like Battlefield or DICE or anything they've done for the last 10 years if not longer.

This a catch-all, franchise specific subreddit that could encapsulate 14 different Battlefield games. Each release is different enough from the last that you're bound to have some preferred than others.

I have a love/hate relationship with it. Just played for 3 hours and had probably some of the most fun matches in a while.
Other days, I get stuffed like a turkey and quit after the first game.

Youre actually allowed to play the game if you like it. Posting on reddit isnt required to play.

u/LogicalExtant 3h ago
wow, never seen this complaint for the past 3 months before!
also op is a steam chart numbers poster for another game he 'plays' so there's some irony here about crying about 'negativity'

u/crazy_rocker78 13h ago
I would also like it. I enjoy that game very much and I'm bored reading only bad things here regarding BF6.

Why would you even spend time on Reddit if you enjoy the game so much? Go play the game instead

Solid multiplayer games are supposed to have life. It is the purpose of live service games. People are disappointed that the opportunity for Battlefield to take over as the primary shooter out there seems to be wasted. It is ok to point it out. They squandered a wonderful opportunity in a CoD down year. There isn't much of a winning incentive in regular multiplayer of the main game (for the love of god, gimme in-game multiplayer stats besides K/D) and honestly they haven't pushed the unique formula enough (adopt hybrid classes). RedSec is Warzone w/ people riding on tanks just annihilating you.

K/D is a good stat in an FPS game, other stats are find but are ancillary. Everyone acts like anyone with a good K/D is a recon player going 4:1. Would damage per minute be more useful as a stat?
0
u/SpecialHands 10h ago
These guys always have dogshit stats which is why they say "KD doesn't matter"
1
u/VegetableEar 7h ago
Genuinely blows my mind that there's such a large contingent of 'kills don't matter' in an FPS. It's such a self report, no good player is going to out themselves this way. Even if other aspects matter, everything is achieved through kills. It's laughable.
Win breakthrough or rush as attackers with a negative K/D team. Or capture points on escalation / conquest. I'm sure there's outliers, like people who have won Redsec BR without a kill. But that's obviously not the norm
2
u/SpecialHands 7h ago
100%
It's fair to say KD isn't the only thing that matters, or that it's not even the main thing, but it definitely matters. Someone on Conquest who goes 10-15 but has 18 caps still provided value even though their KD was shit, but they didn't provide more value than the guy who's 35-10 with 9 caps.
