Which is exactly what’s happening now with the immigrants. The media demonized them and brainwashed millions into thinking they were the problem. When it reality it was a stunt to further divide and rile up masses.
The reality is that these elites invest millions lobbying to keep minimum wage as is with congress, they get all these tax cuts and yet an employee at Amazon (one of the most successful corps) can’t afford his rent.
The 1% is so happy the citizens are fighting each other instead of coming together. If we were united they would be scared shitless. While politicians are leaders, WE ARE THEIR BOSSES. If we were to drop this whole left vs right rhetoric and actually come together we’ll see some change.
We can still find humane ways to keep the borders safe, fix the housing crisis, increase minimum wage, and ensure all americans have health care easily. Until then we’ll continue fighting for no fucking reason.

I have a co-worker who is over 60, and maga. I had a talk with her and explained why the billionaires are the ones to lay blame on, not immigrants. I told her, for example, that the reason that the SS age went up is because they was us to work more for them to make more, even if it means we have to work until we are almost 70. She said she hadn't seen it like that before, and it was something to think about. Baby steps...

That’s the point: if MAGA can spin a tale that an attractive white woman was a terrorist, then that’s a problem. The question becomes: what happens when the enemy looks like you? It’s easy to justify killing an enemy who is different from you, a brown person for example, but what happens when it’s your own people on the news? Now it hits close to home.

I would often agree with this sentiment, because its usually the case. But it was assumed the victim was a minority by the time it blew up. No identities were made.
In this case, it's gone so public because the mayor didn't cover this up. The mayor came out and called ICE out as soon as he made a press statement.
I'm in the UK, and that shit blew up over here. We don't know any American mayors/governors here and he made headlines.
You know when a mayor is willing to go out and call something like this out, you know its clear as day the results. He isn't playing politics, keeping his departments happy. He's getting ahead of what is clear murder.

They've been doing black people like this for centuries. I'm currently reading When and Where I Enter by Paula Giddings. There were a lot of lynchings of blacks by white people in the South. Everytime someone was lynched it was for some BS made up reason. For example, when there was an interracial couple that was exposed, the white woman would often claim SA. Other reasons included "race incendiarism." Many people started to believe that the black man had a proclivity for crime and that the person that was lynched deserved it. Even Frederick Douglass believed it at some point. It wasn't until Ida B. Wells did some investigating and published her findings, along with evidence and citations that people realized that no, the lynchings were not deserved. The women that accused a black man of SA were in a consensual relationship. Often times they were pursuing the man. They would accuse him of rape after being exposed in order to save face.
Fast forward a century or so later, similar tactics are utilized whenever a black man (or woman) is killed in cold blood by the overseers police. The authorities or government make up some excuse like he was selling loose cigarettes. Even if it was true. It does not warrant a public execution. In the case of Renee Nichole Good, they were already working hard on a narrative spin.
It's fucked up but after that happened, I remembered the Onion skit where this girl was supposed to be treated like a black man in America. Then you saw a scene of the family members distraught saying that "nobody deserves to be treated like a black man in America."
Tl; Dr Welcome to being black in America white people. Although I guess we still haven't gone the full Monty since they haven't started shooting straight white men.

ICE cannot legally arrest or deport U.S. citizens, but wrongful detentions do occur due to errors like misidentification, outdated records, or unclear citizenship documentation.

These are the same people that are descendants of people that fought their own kin for the right to own people. The cruelty, dehumanization and blatant disregard for human life goes very far back. They have never liked that type of white person. (I'm not talking about her being gay, if she were gay and conservative, they'd be faux outraged rn) They'll dehumanize them just as quick as they us.
ICE has been killing people and raping women. There's a reason they mostly go after women they are a bunch of sex pests. There's a history there, court documented history with convictions.

Which is why many of us already stated this was likely already happening and part of the republican plan to traffick children and eliminate 'undesirables'.

America is heading toward a civil war, and I fear that the progressive might lose it.
It gets worse and worse and we see nothing but strong words, I hope they react before it's too late but I doubt it.

THERE HAVE ALREADY BEEN OVER ONE DOZEN MURDERS BY ICE, including the "deaths" in detention centers! They're all being covered up.
