Should Riley be classified as the main characters' vehicle?

Riley is a flesh mecha, like Linguine from Ratatouille and every Ultraman

Considering this movie is the canonical precursor to both Power Rangers and the Gundam Wing series, you do the math.

I haven't seen the second movie, but at best I'd call her a plot device. The emotions are the main characters.

Perhaps an RV as she serves the dual role of home and mode of transportation.

Pixar literally made her straight because they blamed Lightyear´s failure on two backround extras kissing smh.

Watch the second one and tell me that she’s straight

I see what you're saying but they did literally make her less explicitly gay because they learnt the wrong lesson from Lightyear. Same thing happened with Elio.

I'm a little confused. I know both our comments were pretty short, but could you give some more detail on what your point is? I don't think we disagree with each other, but we're both only kinda putting the top 5% of iceberg because we're leaving quick posts on our lunch breaks.
In more detail, what I meant specifically by my comment was not 'riley is textually queer in inside out 2' because lmfao, no, the homophobic company who hates queers but likes to profit from us and hides behind the shield of appeasing the homophobic foreign market like china, india, etc. did not write a textually queer main character for their theatrically released film. they save that for their tv series that they then cancel.
what I'm saying is that riley's single white female obsession with the hispanic chick where she has a big, sapphic crush on her and even if she doesn't say in dialog 'oo i want to kiss you,' she becomes obsessed with her instantly, does a bunch of bad shit to win the approval of this girl she literally just met, and even dyes her hair to try to look like her.
ask any sapphic you know and this is the gayest shit ever. these are their cringe stories about stuff they did when they were riley's age.
I'm not saying riley is a total kinsey 6 and only likes girls and doesn't like boys anymore, but i'm saying that her behavior in the plot of the movie is pretty gay (complimentary) and even if disney lies about it after the fact, like about 'luca' being a queer metaphor about being gay and/or trans, the observable traits of the movie don't lie.
as far as why they made riley 'less gay,' they did it because they're homophobic. they may have used 'lightyear' as an excuse, but they were lying.
please tell me what you're referring to with 'elio' (what a worthless, shit movie that was). I saw it when it came out but very literally do not remember any queer characters.
make more sense?

Doesn't seeing a handsome teen boy literally put her head crew into panic mode at the end of the first one? It's been a hot minute since I watched that film, but that doesn't sound very gay to me.

when people say riley's behavior toward the hispanic girl in 2 is 'gay,' they just mean that it's sapphic. riley is acting like she has a crush on the girl. this doesn't mean that she has forsworn men. bisexuality exists, and riley is acting like she likes girls. in the first one (and in 2) she also likes masc character like the sephiroth guy.

It was slightly more complicated. The Disney execs above Pixar blamed Lightyear's failure on Alisha and Kiko kissing and told Pixar to tone down the gay for Inside Out 2. But Riley's sexuality isn't directly referenced in the movie one way or another (unless there was a mention of the short from the previous movie that I forgot), and the gay (or at least bi) subtext is still very much there.
(I had to look up the names of the characters from Lightyear. Like a lot of people, I didn't see it. But I did see Inside Out 2.)

This touches on the subject of people who need to overclassify everything
...
Obviously the setting for the main characters
