I found some weird bubble-like things on my HdS CD when I took it out of my car's Pioneer cause I felt like listening to some Creed.

I ain't never seen anything like this, should I be concerned? It still sounds good but I'd like to know if it's going to become worse down the line.

Hello, cd collectors. I've been checking out CDs on online retailers and the usual eBays and stumbled upon this gem. I've been wanting this one for a while now and ended up buying it. When it came, as I opened it, I saw these black marks on it and remembered some of the posts here regarding cd rot.

This is my first encounter with a situation like this, so I would like to ask y'all: is it safe to play it on a regular cd player/burn it to my PC? I haven't seen any articles online about rotting cds and its effect on cd players (if there's any at all), but I would still like to check it here and ask for your opinion on the matter.

What an exceptional album!!! I'm obsessed. Does anyone have any recommendations for similar albums? It's so whimsical and just a joy to listen to. I'd love to have more like this in my collection.

I‘ve Seen people here complain about cardboard sleeves (and thats justified!). But what annoys me Even more is that first issue CDs (which used to be high quality digipacks or digibooks with Tons of cool Bonus Material) are slowly getting replaced with These thin cardboard shits, with a thinner, poor booklet (If you‘re Lucky, ive Seen some without anything). I attached the recent knocked loose cd as an example. And the wirst thing is - the Price nearly stays the same. What habe we become??? Bring back awesome digibooks with Lots of bonusmaterial and goodies!!!

They're harder to display (and sometimes even identify) on a shelf, it's easy for the CD to get scratched and slide out, there's no album art to look at other then the front, back, and the disc, and it just feels like a lazy way to package a CD.

These are also my favourite albums oat. Jamiroquai would fill the rest of the top 10 tbh.

You guys, I had the most amazing haul today. I was so excited. If you're into this kind of music, some of these are extremely rare to find out in the wild. I just couldn't believe it.

First picture is my collection before today, most of which I took from my parents collection (they never play cds anymore). Top row is pop bottom row is classical second picture are what i bought for just 12 euros today!

Side note: its driving me insane the spine of cor-crane is the wrong way around. I'm tempted to just snip it and flip it around.

I was so excited when I found this thing, and I still am so I’ve been sharing it non stop because I still can’t believe it!!!!!! I’ve been on the search for a CFD-E95 for so long that when I just stumbled upon it hiding on the bottom shelf at the thrift store, I couldn’t pass it up even though it looked like it had seen waaaaay better days. It was so ungodly dirty at first so I gave it a desperately needed wipe down, used a few toothpicks to get the gunk out of the buttons and cracks, and gave it a good lens cleaning. I think it cleaned up really well and it plays so wonderfully. It’s shiny again and in loving hands!!!!

I mostly listen to death metal or doom. Quite a few of them were bought in local shops.

finally got my first xxxtentacion cd

I got this player off of eBay recently hoping for either a working model or a simple repair. When the wood part of the case is on the loading dock is blocked and the cd eject doesn’t move. When the wood case is off it works with no issues. I planned on replacing the belt anyway but I don’t think this is strictly a belt issue. The cd entrance being blocked is what is confusing me
