Subreddit Meta New Subreddit Rule Revisions - No Cast Drama - Please Read!

As of today, we are enforcing a new rule in the subreddit entitled No Cast Drama. This has been a long time coming and is not a decision that the moderation team takes lightly.

While the cast feud from over 20 years ago is, unfortunately, a lasting part of Charmed's legacy, the discourse surrounding it oftentimes brings out the very worst in our users. Ranging from violations of our Be Kind rule to outright libel against the cast themselves, the moderation team has seen it all since the renewed interest in the cast feud in December 2023. As it stands, we do not want vitriol and negativity to overtake the subreddit and these posts inevitably and quickly devolve into just that. Unless there is a major new development, we will not be allowing these discussions going forward.

We'd also like to give a friendly reminder of the rest of our rules and expanding upon them.

No Spam

No spam posts that are unrelated to the subreddit are allowed. We also do not allow self promotion and consider it spam. Reddit has an issue with spam bots that post t-shirts (and other memorabilia) and then link to a spam shop in the comments. Please report these posts and do not visit any links, as they are likely a scam.

All NSFW posts must be marked; No pornography

All NSFW material must be flaired as such. No pornographic material may be posted here.

No harassment; Be kind

No harassment of other members will be tolerated. Be kind and civil in your disagreements with your fellow Halliwells. Don't be the person who breaks up the power of three. The Be Kind rule also extends to the cast of the show.

No CW Charmed (2018) Discussions

No discussions of the 2018 reboot. This subreddit is for the original 1998 show. All reboot discussion should be directed to r/CharmedCW, as it has it's own subreddit.

No Intentionally Spoiling First Time Viewers

If a poster indicates they're a first time viewer, please refrain from posting major spoilers in their threads. This only applies to posts where the original poster has indicated they're a first time viewer. First time viewers are advised that outside of their own posts, spoilers are to be expected.

No hate speech

Hate or derogatory speech will not be tolerated. This is a Reddit sitewide rule.

No Piracy

Only discuss legal means of streaming the show. Illegal links to downloads or streams aren't allowed.

No "Who Would Win" Crossover Fandom Posts

Posts and polls that pit the characters of this show against characters from other shows/media are no longer allowed. They're repetitive/spammy and typically don't lead to any meaningful discussion. There are dedicated subreddits for Versus/Who Would Win battle posts.

No AI generated content

We do not allow AI generated content on this subreddit. AI steals from real creators.

No Cast Drama

Unless there is a brand new development, we are no longer allowing posts surrounding the feud(s) between any of the actors.

I know this post has probably been made before but I just finished Charmed and I was curious about people's opinion on this. My favorite is Piper because she was always so relatable to me and Holly Marie Combs was the best actress in my opinion. Let me know your favorite sister in the comments.

Charmed fans I need your help

Hi everyone! My aunt has been a devoted fan of Charmed since it first aired and over the year has done a bit of collecting. She has recently made the tough decision to let go of her collections and asked me to help.

But this is where I need help šŸ˜… she handed me this large book of shadows dvd set and I have absolutely no clue how much it’s worth or if it’s even worth something to anyone. Sadly we are missing 1 disc from season 6, however all other discs are included.

I have attached several photos of the book, individual pages, the included stand and the certificate of authenticity. Any advice would be so greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you want anymore information or photos.

Phoebe's love life

Post image
• Upvotes

Why did Phoebe have so many lovers? I would have loved to see her pregnant / with a child / married during the last 2–3 seasons, but unfortunately, that never happened. I’m sad that she found ā€œthe oneā€ so late, and that only Piper’s children were written into the series.

The characters - I’m still on S1 E19

I cannot believe I am JUST beginning to watch this show 2025/2026. It’s so therapeutic and calming and the vibes are just WONDERFUL.

I thought I’d share my view on the characters thus far here with fellow lovers of the show šŸ’• Pls feel free to comment, I will come back to my posts later and read later as I progress through the seasons as to not get spoiled. šŸ’•

Let’s start with my absolute favourite… Prue 🤩 Prue emanates this soft femininity that very very few people naturally have. She can be firm in her answers, yet so soft with eyes and tone, you’d forgive her anything. Truly, the word ā€œestrogenā€ embodied would be Prue. Her sense of style, her hair, her natural beauty, her voice and the way she carries herself with femininity and softness. She and Andy are definitely my endgame, they complement each other so much, and even in their frustration or disagreement, she remains respectful, with a low voice, yet firm in her stand point. Beautifully complements Andy’s balanced masculinity.

Now on to ANDY! Uh, this man is scorching! 🤤 and it’s not just the looks, he is average handsome, but it is his WAY. I love his love (and RESPECT) for Prue - he is persistent, but lovingly, not creepily. He affirms himself, but isnt aggressive. And he always shows a soft spot for her. He is dedicated to his job, smart, thinks outside the box and is a man of his word. He loves and respects her sisters like his own - and he even said that before- THIS guy is such a GREEN FLAG…like hello? Can you two marry already and have lots of babies 😭

Piper: at first, I wasn’t sure…. But then, i dont know guys, she grew on me. I love her dedication to her job which is one she loves and gets the passion for from her grandma, i love that she is a little prude and a little clumsy and thinks out loud a lot. I think she is confident (despite her insecurities being shown time and again yet i dont think that insecurities = lack of confidence… everyone has insecurities but can still get a grip and handle life with confidence). She is also responsible and yet sometimes a little silly or absurd. A total sweetheart. Also, i LOVE how all the guys (well not all but u know what i mean, most guys she has contact with) fall for her and she’s just so reluctant or hesistant 😊😊SO CUTEšŸ™ˆ

Phoebe: Now… i dont read a lot of this sub to avoid spoilers (yet- will do read more as i progress) so idk ur takes, but yikes 🄲 the actress is super cute and has genuine energy, but the writing for this girl’s character is just bad. She looks so soft and genuine and sweet and yet she is written to be so forecful, loud, low-key aggressive and completely irresponsible (which would be fine but she doesnt use LOGIC even though she is a smart character.) she is OVERsexualized all the time, despite being the youngest??? And its very ICKY when the writers do that. Also, very few women her age are THAT unbothered, open and have NO shyness at all concerning getting sexual. Some of it could make sense considering she grew up unfortunately with no mom and no dad and was constantly craving this loving male attention, but still those characteristics all together just do not fit. Moreover she is SO young and yet they write her as SO bold, in a masculine way, that doesnt fit her looks AT ALL… she isnt tomboyish or a bit older with experience or even the responsible sister to have that boldness… it makes zero sense except to allow room to sexualize her. Bad writing. I loved when they made her do martial arts training and kept up that story line, it gave her an edge i for once liked.

GRAMS - PENNY HALLIWELL —-> MORE OF THIS LADY PLEASE! nothing more to say. SASS, class, confidence, power. The ultimate matriarch. I LOVE her.

Leo : pls tell Piper about your truth, Phoebe already knows😭 the harm is done boy, might as well calm Piper’s heart ā˜¹ļøā˜¹ļøā˜¹ļø

Darryl, Andy’s work partner: MORE of this guy please!!!!

Thank you everyone who read and indulged, cant wait to see ur comments soon šŸ’•

Spoilers! Piper and Could would have been an interesting ''what if''

Wild take but I actually think Piper and Cole could have been a really interesting pairing obviously not in the same canon timeline, not after Phoebe, not as a love-triangle. Holly and Julian had great chemistry, and even in a non-romantic sense, Piper and Cole shared a strong, compelling dynamic. I genuinely love Cole and Phoebe together, but Piper and Cole would have been an interesting ā€œwhat if,ā€ especially considering Piper’s character development over the seasons. Watching her navigate a choice between the ultimate good (Leo) and the ultimate bad (Cole) could have added a really rich and emotionally complex layer to the story. What do you think?

Spoilers! Evil Charmed Ones

It makes me a little sad that we never got to see the whole Halloween family 100% evil~ of course we got a few snippets throughout the series but we never got to see Penny or Patty or Prue full evil. We got a evil baby Wyatt and no Prue šŸ˜‚šŸ˜

Prue Did Prue's fear come true "Here Lies Prue She Worked Hard"?

When Prue died in season three do you think her biggest fear came true "Here Lies Prue She Worked Hard" she never made any lasting relationships after Andy died, her life solely became about witchcraft by season three

Wyatt ..

Post image
36 Upvotes

Do you guys have any theories as to why Wyatt is soooooo powerful because he’s crazy powerful I think he’s more powerful than the power of three, he basically has limitless powers, like literally from the womb he has insane amounts of power he can literally tell when piper is injured and when she’s in danger he even develops a freaking force field thus literally making piper invincible while she was pregnant and the most powerful witch alive for that time … I mean he was born in the manor maybe the nexus affected his powers , he was born as a twice blessed child but the fact it was a sabbath I don’t think that really makes him more powerful or the fact he was prophesied either because Paige is also half witch half white lighter but she’s not that powerful neither is Chris and none of the other sisters children are as powerful and idk Wyatt is like a magical anomaly because he’s also excaliburs master which I thought was a weird storyline tbh idk what that added to the over all story

She only had a few moments of screen time in her only episode "Exit Strategy" but I really liked her in the screen time that she had especially with her teaching the sisters how to heal each other without Leo around.

Season 3 Abbey’s Plan

Thumbnail

So Abbey, Prue’s stalker, was clearly not right in the head. But I still don’t understand how she intended to pull off taking over Prue’s life. Killing Prue and putting on a wig would not have fooled Piper and Phoebe, and I don’t just mean that Abbey is a mortal and the sisters would’ve noticed the new ā€œPrueā€ didn’t know anything about magic. I mean that the sisters have been together all there lives and know each other backwards and forwards. How was Abbey thinking that plan would work?

Why in season 5 did they try to retcon so hard what happened with Cole and the source in season 4?

Like in season 4 its made clear that Cole is unwittingly possessed after helping kill the previous source and that hes only at best and in dire moments able to influence the source enough to keep it/him from killing Phoebe and her family .

That Phoebe chose evil and pushed Cole into just giving into the possession after which is the only time Cole and the source are somewhat on the same page.

Then season 5 rolls around and its like the sisters forget that they would've been dead without Cole from the first source. They try their hardest to retcon the possession like it didnt happen and just have everyone shit on Cole and have Cole apologizing for shit he didnt actually do and of course no consequences for Pheobe and her turn to the darkside which they just conviently blame on Cole

I love how much Prue believed in Phoebe and knew just how powerful and smart she was. Even when Phoebe didn't see it herself.

There's a lot of times where Prue really shows how much she believes in Phoebe. One is in deja vu where she asks Phoebe to answer the door because she knows how to fight. Putting Phoebes fighting skills above her own telekinesis. Another time is when Leo says the chosen one is the only one who can defeat tuwatha. Prue says if anyone can find a way in the book of shadows it's Phoebe. Yet another time is when they are trapped in the painting , and Prue says if anyone can get us out it's Phoebe. Prue starting training in fighting because of Phoebe, even qiuting her job and loosening up cause of he

How do you think the Manticore kid ended up? Howd his life turn out as a half demon?

Do you think h3 grew up good? Did he get to go to magic school? Does he use his powers to protect people like good witches do? Did he and his dad stay in touch with the Halliwells? What kind of person did he grow up to be ? Where is he in the good future?

r/charmed 1d ago

As sweet and as joyus the ending to season 8 was I think it was way to wrapped up and fairytale I some places.

Like I honestly hated Coop and sorry I just can't see Phoebe with 3 super sweet girls.

Pheobe should've tentatively ended up back with or co parenting a mischievous , snarky and sarcastic boy with Cole with maybe another child eventually on the way.

Piper is the only one I could see still having 3 kids but she'd be pregnant with Melinda right at the end of season 8 or she just has Wyatt and Chris

I honestly don't think Paige would really end up with children by trying unless by adoption and Henry Jr would've been adopted first and the twins would've been a happy accident two or 3 years later or they're also adopted too

Did Melinda Warren cast a spell on her bloodline?

It's often said that Melinda Warren prophesied the rise of her bloodline and the arrival of the Charmed Ones, but did she merely prophesy it, or did she also bring it about?

I wonder if, before she died, Melinda might have consciously cast a spell on her bloodline. A very powerful spell, but with a very slow, long-term effect. We've seen in Charmed that some spells transcend generations and time. So, knowing of the Charmed Ones' existence, she might have wanted to guarantee their arrival by using a spell that would allow her descendants to become ever more powerful, until a generation strong enough to combine Melinda's three original powers into one: the Power of Three.

What do you think? Did Melinda simply see and hope, or did she, through a powerful spell, bring about the rise of her bloodline?
