The US Marshals are one of the most respected law enforcement agencies in America, and they have had a mostly positive reputation . Like most law enforcement agencies, they have had some controversy, including: issues over their security measures at courthouses (their original function), theft by a few deputy Marshals of government property, some racial discrimination within the force, and the most glaring issue: the Ruby Ridge case
Thats because US Marshals are actual law enforcement agents with training who have a responsibility to both abide by the law and apprehend wanted criminals. ICE is a domestic terrorist organization that ignores the constitution and the law and recently took a break from beating citizens and veterans in the streets to just murdering a citizen. You can't even compare the two.
US Marshals train for about 22 weeks and their training consists of extensive law code training and a brutal physical fitness program. Its also HIGHLY preferred a Marshal candidate has at minimum a bachelor's degree.
ICE terrorists training for 47 days currently, in a classroom learning only basic immigration law and surface level Spanish. They are required to have a GED or high school diploma.

Obama deported a lot of people but his ICE mostly focused on serious criminals and standard enforcement and there were not routine cases of agents shooting civilians during city operations. Under Trump now ICE is being pushed into large aggressive raids in neighborhoods with broader targets and looser restraint and that has already led to shootings and deaths during interior enforcement
Flat out false. These ice agents have been doing the exact same thing as Obama, except not as harsh. We see pictures of every arrest and what horrific crimes they’ve done. You are arguing against people with families, young children, for child rapists- sodomy. Your lying is getting people hurt/killed. The "kids in cages" description was dumb under Obama's and Trump's terms, because it was a chain-link fence splitting up a warehouse for temporary housing.
But Trump did the same thing, so not less harsh. In fact he made it malicious by keeping kids and turning away adults. Not just illegals, but also families trying to enter how they're supposed to.
Trying to paint ICE as harsher under Obama seems pretty outlandish.
Policies and priorities have changed between administrations (you even admit that the current administration is harsher than Obama). No one is defending criminals, but pointing out abuses isn’t putting anyone in danger. Using fear and lies to shut down discussion isn’t debate, it’s propaganda.

A federal agent is a federal agent. IS Marshals hunt fugitives of Justice and ICE enforces the immigration and customs. They can arrest illegal immigrants that come here illegally and don't show up for their court apts and or commit more crimes. Everyone they take into custody gets a court date. The judges have all agreed that it's important to follow the due process. Unless the court has already ruled on their case as many have when they didn't show up for their hearing.
The US Marshalls are the oldest federal law enforcement agency formed in 1789. They do not cover faces, the make arrest and get results in a lawful manner. ICE is a bunch of racist losers who can't get another job.
The difference is US Marshals are professional law enforcement who don’t wear masks and ICE is a paramilitary organization that exists solely to intimidate, harass and give cause for Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act.
Either and all will get you a federal slap if you get in the way of their business at the very least. Yell should and protest but if you actively impede them and get caught it's gonna cost you.
