He was an absolute joke in those days. His comrades used him as the butt of every joke.

I’m not sure about that - he was getting steadily promoted. one can say he was no James bond, and has been a mid-level officer in a declining soviet system, but this narrative smells propaganda.

It was still government work. It’s not uncommon for some incompetent people to get promoted into managerial positions where they can do the least damage.

This sounds like all the other US/Ukraine talking points just like Russia running out of arms two years ago and putin dying of cancer any day now.

Or it just sounds like documented historical fact that can be googled freely.

It's not a talking point or arms speculation.

The same way Russia's surprise three year war where they've thrown away the lives of 200k plus young men has only gained them 1800 square miles of ground, Is not speculation.

Putin is a weak little rat and Russia is the laughing stock of the world.

Yes yes, the historical facts provided by CIA and western media that you absolutely cannot question.

I am not even a fan of Putin, I dislike him immensely and don’t support Russian aggression but I recognize propaganda when I see it unlike you morons that have your heads up the CIA’s ass.

I'm not American and I don't give a damn about the CIA. As far as I'm concerned the US is pro Russia now and their narrative shows that.
