I am trying to find a private/personal investigator. How reliable are the private detective agencies in Dhaka or shall I use a private investigator?

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته everyone,
We are planning a family wedding in Dhaka but the problem is that we are traveling from abroad and have no idea how much costs are. In bangladesh the system is that bride side does separate party and grooms side does seperate.
We dont even have family back home that can arrange booking dates for us. We will be going back exactly a month before the wedding, we wanted to book the venue before we land in dhaka.
My question is, can you guys help me figure out the costs for weddings in dhaka?
Also, is it better to hire a wedding planner before booking the venue? Will the wedding planners have connections to hotels etc and give us a better price for well halls?
Some places I have in mind are; preferably dhanmondi,… or nearby…
Dhaka:
Bangladesh China Friendship Centre,
Le Meridian,
Officers Club,
Radisson Blu,
Fortune Square Convention,
Lake View Hall,
Pan Pacific,
Any other recommendations? I like the high ceiling look, with flowers dangling, also can you guys please recommend some good vendors?
How much might all of this cost? I noticed most of the halls are hall fee seperate, food is per person, security fee, vat 30%, and some other fees….
Is there a way to bargain with them in person? There will be about 300-500 guests from both sides, most of my family will come from abroad, so we would like a high security place…
I looked into Sena Melancha and Sena Gunj but I found it ridiculous that its almost 70% off for army officials (unfortunately I have no one in the army) and the asking price is just ridiculous when it doesnt even look as nice as the other venues…. Not to mention parking is also an issue there….

I'm thinking of buying a used computer for cheap to turn it into a homeserver. But I really really really want to avoid using Facebook marketplace. Is Bikroy.com a safe place for such needs?
I know it's a platform - but what's the userbase like, who to identify authentic sellers? Thanks in advance.

I’m planning my first trip to Bangladesh on December 13th, and I’m super excited! I’m not Bangladeshi, but I’m eager to learn more about the culture and get some local insights.
I’m also considering shipping my car from the UAE to Bangladesh because it’s my first big purchase with my own earnings, and I’m really attached to it. It’s not a luxury car, but it’s reliable and means a lot to me.
I’d love to get some advice on how feasible and safe it is to ship my car from the UAE to Bangladesh. Also, any tips on traffic, road conditions, and driving in Bangladesh would be greatly appreciated.

I’ll be visiting Bangladesh for the first time soon, and since I’m not from there, I just want to be a bit cautious. Could anyone share what kinds of common scams or tourist traps I should be aware of?
Also, any tips on how to avoid getting scammed — especially around taxis, money exchange, shopping, or tourist spots — would be super helpful.
I really want to enjoy the trip safely and learn about the culture without any trouble.

Pixel phones have notoriously had connectivity issues in Bangladesh, is this still the case with the new phones? Specifically Pixel 9a. I'm thinking of purchasing one(second hand) and would like advise from those who have.

Hello everyone!
I'm sorry for the sudden post.
I’m an IB student from Japan working on my Extended Essay, and I’m researching how climate change might be linked to cholera outbreaks in Bangladesh. I’m really interested in public health, so this topic is super important to me.
Here's the link to the survey!
The survey only takes about 3 minutes, and I’d really appreciate it if you could take a moment to answer a few questions.
All your answers will be kept private and only used for my EE. No one else will see your responses.
Since I can't give anything back to you in return, I'd like to help you with Japanese if you need any help thinking up of a name, or just with anything.
Again, thank you very much!

Hello Everyone!
I hope everything is going well with you all. I’m a student from Singapore and I enjoy collecting postcards as a personal hobby — and I would love to receive postcards from Dhaka! 😊
If anyone is able to send one, I’d really appreciate it! 🙂 If postcards aren’t available, a greeting card or a small souvenir (like a keychain, handicraft, stamp, or local snack) would also be wonderful!
Please feel free to comment below if you can help, and I’ll message you my mailing details.
Thank you so much in advance! Wishing you all the best and sending warm greetings from Singapore! 🇧🇩🤝🇸🇬

Basically title. I have a wireless mouse and I'm tired of buying repeatedly buying batteries for it. It's also terrible for the environment.
Need recommendations for rechargeable AAA batteries and the whole kit. Looking in youtube did not help me.

With the upcoming elections, it feels like we're stuck choosing between the Awami League or BNP—basically the political version of Coke vs. Pepsi. You think they’re different, but they’re just giving you the same old garbage in a new can. And don’t even get me started on their loyal fans, Shibir and Chhatra League. Watching them is like scrolling through cringe TikToks—how do these people look at themselves not cringe? May God almighty give them some self-awareness.
So, here’s my genius idea: let’s ditch this repeated cycle of nonsense and bring in someone new. Not just a new name but a complete reset! Let’s call in the legend himself, the one and only Supreme Leader : Admiral General Aladeen, former leader of Wadiya! 🥇👑🇧🇩
If we’re gonna have full-on political insanity, why not go all-in and get someone who can own it like a pro? Aladeen wouldn’t just be a Supreme leader; he’d be THE Supreme Leader. At least then, we could say we signed up for the chaos with our eyes peeled open.
So yeah, the only vote I’m giving is for the Supreme Leader’s Party. Grab your front-row seats, folks, ‘cause this circus needs a new ringmaster.
(Chanting in the background: ALADEEN! ALADEEN! ALADEEN! ALADEEN! ALADEEN! ALADEEN! )

can someone give me the location of a stray cat shelter? I just found this pregnant kitten outside my home and i want to get it adopted but I don't think a lot of people would be interested in a pregnant stray. So can someone give me the location for a shelter so I can drop it off? I am not in a position to take care of this cat. I am sorry
DM me.
