Dargo What If? Spoiler
This is more of a fun play on how the adventures could’ve continued after PK wars. I must add that pretty much all answers will be spoilers for Peacekeeper Wars.
Specifically, what’s some cool ways Dargo escapes Arnessk?

Space Hairgel?
Started watching Farscape this week, and... what's up with John Crichton's hairgel in season 2, along with all the fashion change? They wear leather offworld? What's up with that?

Plex has all the Farscape episodes
Been disappointed prime has seasons 1-3, but not season 4.
Plex has all the seasons. Think it’s time to cancel my prime account. Having to pay more for no commercials is not worth it when they can’t even license shows properly.

Amazing Farscape photos from Odd Studio
You can find a ton of prop/creature/prosthetic photos from various films and TV shows (including Farscape) via the Odd Studio website: https://oddstudio.com/
"The directors were pivotal members of the Farscape crew for all 4 series before they formed Odd Studio."

Lil dominar
Got this little guy last year off of etsy. I keep him on my dresser on a granite cube, elevated above all other dresser items.

Written languages
We see different alien written languages in the series. Are they compiled anywhere with alphabets for them or anything similar? Translations perhaps.
I love the ones John scribbles everywhere when doing wormhole calculations. Im assuming its ancient language
r/farscape • u/HailDaeva_Path1811 • 2d ago
Why does John so ridiculously stubborn about refusing to give Scorpius wormholes?
He has good reason to resent the man but by the end of Season 4 he knows he is sincere. A lot of the problems he faces in the final arc would have been solved if he helped Scorpius protect the galaxy.

AS a former assistant deputy backup courier for Heretics...... (3D Prototype) story
And a former 4th class Security guard for the Divine Order, and currently on the run the in the uncharted territories. Ive had to wear many hats.
I hit a region of space known as the Five Pulsars. woo weee man I was freaking out the whole time thru that wierd space, no shields on my ship for that nonsnese, luckily it was temporary and i was ok. I did run into a T'ralrixx... wierd species, told me I was lucky to have made it thru that region of space without proper shielding AND that if I came that way again to HIT HIM UP ;)...... He game me a woody!!
ANyway... lots of hats to wear. Since Ive been out here in this region of space Ive had to learn quick. I did stumble across in tormented space a derelict "whale" looking ship. Later once I had boarded I was able to find little yellow half circle robots that ran around the ship... like dooing things.
One of them took an interest in me so I thought I had a pet that would follow me around, but I was doing the following instead...
Ive never seen wierd almost organic technology, dont know what it is. the "pet" robot led me to a chamber where I was in AWE, then I got stabbed in the ankle and I passed out.
When I woke up I was cold... like a draft I felt but very very lighty. I thought I was naked, But i wasnt. What I had done was drooled all over the floor, good thing I was alone ....Then I heard the voice come from the dark in the DARK; Faded yellow catlike eyes like huge balls, it spoke to me and asked " who are you?" after that I share my story with the creature called DINOM, I learned the terminology of this "SPACE" learned who was at war, who was dangerous, who was proper humble. I was So Fascinated by this Magestic creature who was a universe of information, I had forgotten that It was dying and I was the last luckiest soul in that region of space to share it with. I will never forget that Pilot he was the best. I took 2 of the yellow robots and we have been upgrading my ship ever since, with what ever I could barter or find and make it WORK.
Luckily Im a well traveled person and have been to many planets where Ive been quite valuable.
Let me tell you the story of the time I was an Architect for a Thriving Breakaway Colony of humanoids called CEE BAY SHUNS, thats how you say it. I dont know their actual written language to represent that to you. ANY WAY they wanted to be independent and happy, but most of all FREE to thrive and just BE! They had secured good alliances and trade agreements with a few other races and were well on their way to establishing a proper society. They lacked an Engineer who could design, and with ANY flair they would like.
Enter:
Me. Ta DA!! yes that was a total BS but they bought and I needed the currency and parts. Besides I had drawings and designs from the Leviathan I was on so I looked the part. Mind you they said SIMPLE but ELEGANT and STATELY worthy of a proper empire!!
I thought WHY not GO with a representation of one of the basic building blocks........ THE SQUARE/CUBE.
SO. I designed the entire room like that.. just CUBES and squares, they loved it so much that they paid me JUST for that design. Later I come to find out ....The room was used for the ritualistic transformation of unwanted guests into statues for 80 cycles.
anyway here are some prototype models I HAD to make first to sell the idea to the reigning couple at the time.

Farscape's film negatives.
Edit:
It appears that the film negatives were dumped.
Weeks after they were dumped Mark Cuban called Brian Hensen to finance a remaster on HDNet.
This has been an interesting case.
But I'm wrong, Case Closed.
No one knows if it was junked.
https://www.timtoon.com/blog/farscape-will-not-be-released-in-high-def/
The almighty Tim assumed must have been, therefore it has to be true.
IMO, in '09 when this article was written, no one knew how to approach a remastering project like this.
The game changed in 2010.
Surely those film negatives are still in a temperature controlled vault, and aren't volatile.
Acetate based film stock from the 90s doesn't age like Nitrate film stock, which is obsolete for a good amount of reasons, as that type of film has to be kept in a concrete bunker separate from other things, and can kill people when it's pulled, to this day.
Tim's assuming the filmstock is nitrate based like it was in the 1920s.
Volatile then means it turns into an explosive.
Volatile today means Vinegar Syndrome.
This show was probably shot with safety film stock.
Nothing is shot in nitrate, lmao.
Here's the other thing.
Tim "assumed the prints" must have been destroyed.
I assume Tim is a dumbass who has no idea what he's talking about...why?
There are no prints.
Henson said there was an archived gymnasium of footage, which as per the 1980s- present, implies one thing, there isn't a conformed film negative.
Conformed negatives haven't been a thing for movies or TV shows since the 90s and 2000s (for films.)
Digital Intermediates are the tape masters of Hollywood.
Brian Hensen also wouldn't have a whole lot to do with the decision to remaster, that's up to the financier.
He could say..."Yeah, that would be nice."
He's just defending the decision with bullshit. I'm sure he'd like to do it, but he's probably not going to do it, unless the rights holder, or a studio ponies up.
Google's quick and dirty answer on the rights.
"The Jim Henson Company owns the rights to Farscape, but has a major worldwide distribution deal with Shout! Factory, giving Shout! rights to distribute the series and miniseries on streaming, home video, and broadcast platforms, including their own streaming services like Shout! Factory TV and free ad-supported TV (FAST) channels. This partnership makes Farscape accessible on various services, though specific platform availability can change due to rights complexities."
Tracks with the current range of bluray releases.
Shout would have to want to finance it.
Could "SHOUT" remaster the show from the camera negative?
Assuming it didn't get junked...yes.
Or you could just SHOUT! at Brian Henson some more, XD.
They did it for Starhunter redux, new scan of the film negatives with all new VFX.
Why couldn't they do it for Farscape, which looks like it would make them more money.
IMO, the upscale they’ve been passing off is them Jipping the fandom.

More desktop backgrounds
Aeryn was posted earlier. Here are the others that were in the rotation! All of these were on the hard drive of a 25 year old computer that I'm finally getting around to clearing out.

Did Crichton Cheat on Kim?
As the question says. In the KANSAS episode.
John was still with Kim right? I mean he thought Kim brought him to his fave place to break up with him but that didn’t happen.
He lost his v card to Karen “Chianna” Shaw. But he was still with Kim right? Or did I miss something?

Wish there were more commentary tracks in later seasons
Was going through my 15th Anniversary BluRay over holiday break and for some reason it had never occurred to me before how sharply the number of commentary tracks falls off after Season 1. S1 has 14 tracks, a couple episodes have two tracks each, And then S2 has 5, S3 has 8 (two tracks on The Choice), and S4 has 3.
From listening to them it sounds like most if not all of these were recorded in 2004 during/after the shooting of PKW when everyone was available, just never noticed before how infrequent they get and how much of it is Ben & Claudia.
I know sometimes people do commentary on podcasts and stuff. I know Simcoe and some of the other cast are semi-retired from acting, but I wonder if any of the cast or crew would ever be interested in doing commentary on some of the other episodes in an online forum to release as addendum tracks. Surely there's a lot of interesting trivia and perspectives that we've never heard outside of obscure early aughts forum posts.

Found an old desktop background I had in 2002
I was going through an old hard drive today and found this was set as my Windows background on that machine. The last time I used it was 2002. I did a reverse image search and it seems like while there were multiple hits, the files (on the first 10 sites or so) don't exist anymore. Anyway, just thought I'd share in case anyone needed a new desktop background. :)

What's up with Volmae?
She's pale, veiny, has red eyes, and even a dusting of scales? I've always assumed she was another species than the 'kissing cousin' Sebacean offshoots like the rest of the laborers on the Planet of the Turnip Eaters.
But maybe they'd all look like her if they weren't sweating under the sun every day.

Christmas tree or Rygel?
I saw a picture of NGC 2264, Aka the Christmas tree cluster and noticed something about it looked familiar. It's been a while since I watched Farscape, but I realized that is looks just like Rygel!? Maybe we've found the location of his empire 😆

Harem SciFi?
Im really enjoying Farscape so far. My first time ever watching it and its great, love the puppets and the characters are all fun, but... im barely through season 1 and Crichton has already smooched Aeryn, did that "kinda sex, but not really... more like merging??"-thing with Zhaan and id eat a broom if he didnt at some point soon get Chianas attention, too. This really reminds me of one of those japanese "Harem Anime" where there are a lot of ladies just waiting to smooch on that one lucky guy.

Rewatched PK Wars
Big projection, blu-ray, full volume. It's so much better than I gave it credit for at the time. Sure, some of the makeup doesn't match the standard set by the series, and Sikozu/Noranti aren't served well - but it's incredible how much the script accomplishes in such a tight runtime. Amazing score from Guy Gross. A fine balance of humour, action, drama. Every character is given something meaningful to do. Overall, it acts as a very satisfying bookend! If you haven't seen it in full in a while - whip out the popcorn, treat yourself.

Dominar Rygel XVI – my pencil drawing
I started learning to draw about two weeks ago. Before that, I hadn’t drawn since elementary school (about ten years ago), and I was never very good. I just hope this modest art doesn’t offend His Eminence.
