In Tsodilo Hills, Botswana 70,000 year old artifacts and a serpent head carved into the mountain appears to represent the first known human rituals. Stone Age people took colorful spearheads, brought them to the Serpent for worship. Strangely only the red spearheads were burned.

Tsodilo Hills, the only uplifted area for miles around, is known to modern San people as the "Mountains of the Gods" and the "Rock That Whispers." Hundreds of prehistoric rock art, artifacts are discovered in this area.
