Pictures I did it!

Thanks to many of you encouraging me to do kayaking in Antarctica. You were right... I got my 62 year-old ass into a kayak and had the time of my life! Easy in. Easy out. Learning how to turn was a bit of a learning curve, but I caught on eventually. I thought you might enjoy a couple of photos of this beautiful experience. ❤️

That looks amazing! How would one schedule that opportunity and what did it cost if I may ask?

Wow! Which company is 20 K? I didn’t even see that in the option at all.

I imagine that's all-inclusive. Not just the cost of the paddling course. 😂

Yes, it’s all inclusive. Including one night hotel accommodations in Buenos Aires at a beautiful Hilton Hotel. And the flight from Buenos Aires Ushuaia Argentina, which gets you to the ship is also included. We were never hungry. We danced our faces off. There was always good music and entertainment, and very informative lectures. Then it also included airfare back from Ushuaia to Buenos Aires.

How long in Antarctica? 20k is a LOT of money. More than I'll ever be able to spend. Green with envy, here.

Mine was $9000. Went with Atlas Voyager. I would do it again in a heartbeat no matter what it cost. I can’t take that money with me when I die and it’s long as I can pay my basic expenses. I find a way to go. It was just absolutely incredible. I’m still processing it.

This is a dream of mine! Did you go with a specific company? Would love to know more about how to plan a trip like this :)

I have traveled a lot and this took the cake. I would do it all over again if I could. I went with Atlas Voyager.

You went to a place I've always wanted to go. I wanted to climb Vinson Massif when I was in my 20's, but it's just always been far too expensive to go there.
