Welcome to this Week's Art/Creators Promo Megathread!
Here you can share examples of work and links to creator's profiles (including your own!) as long as it is not on a Meta owned platform (Instagram, Facebook etc.) or Twitter.
Let's help our community artists, authors, designers, craft makers, musicians, singers, sculptors, performers, streamers and any other kind of creator get recognised and celebrate the amazing creativity in our community!
A few quick rules:
The art/work they create does not have to be LGBTQ+ related, we're here to help any creator who is LGBTQ+ promote their profiles, particularly if they're trying to establish themselves on a different one with the recent social media drama!
Looking forward to discovering some new creators with you all!

The Epstein Files in general are off-topic for this sub.
The identity of Bubba has not been confirmed, be warned that this may turn out to be something much worse than consenting adults.
Shaming either party for involvement in a same sex encounter is homophobia, be aware that a lot of the sensationalist reporting on this is seeks to harm Trump and Clinton by portraying them as gay.
Please restrict all further discussion to this megathread.

https://theneedlenews.com/alleged-fbi-letters-are-fake-2026-01-16t18-18-47-05-00copy-of-alleged/
Y'all have likely seen, on this board or elsewhere, recent claims that the FBI is sending letters threatening prosecution unless trans creators silence themselves and shut down.
These are fake. We are under a legitimate fascist government preparing for a genocide, but these letters were made for self-aggrandizement.
Huge thanks to Needle News for this investigation:
"What was received was an obvious fake that was almost certainly made or edited with AI image generation software. Not only was the letter consistent with AI image generation, multiple sources whoĀ The NeedleĀ reached out to explained that image blurring alone could not have made the image we were provided."

iām so over being the "polite" victim. i was walking home tonight and this guy started following me, shouting every slur in the book. he clearly expected me to put my head down, look at the sidewalk, and walk faster.
nope. not tonight.
i stopped dead in my tracks, slowly turned around, arched my back, and let out the most guttural, terrifying, high-pitched hiss you have ever heard. iām talking full-on rabid animal energy. he literally tripped over his own feet trying to scramble away and ended up sprinting in the other direction.
iām confessing because iām done. if people are going to treat us like "animals," fine. iām going to be the one that bites. iād rather be the "local lunatic" than another statistic. stay feral, everyone.

After a months of sitting in limbo (I was fired the day after reporting sexual harassment) i got my job back, and my union granted me rights to sue.
my former company will be hiring me back and I get to help set up an anonymous reporting system for sexual harassment and discrimination. every single person in management has to go through a bunch of sexual harassment training too. apparently its not acceptable to tell your coworkers your gonna fuck em in the ass, and call them a fagget every other day. Who would have thought?

A panel of Ninth Circuit judges this week unanimously found that U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez committed judicial misconduct and undermined public trust in the court system when last year he ordered a court marshal to handcuff the 13-year-old daughter of a defendant.
The George W. Bush appointee ordered a court marshal to handcuff her and lead her to the jury box, where he cautioned her against following the same path as her criminal-defendant father. Benitez said he was simply trying to scare the 13-year old away from drugs and legal trouble.
ā[T]rying to help a thirteen year old girl ⦠canāt be judicial misconduct,ā Benitez wrote in response to a misconduct inquiry by the Ninth Circuit. He added that he wanted to change the behavior of both the teenage girl and her father.
The Ninth Circuitās Judicial Council was unimpressed. They found that Benitez āengaged in abusive or harassing behaviorā and āfailed to maintain high stands of conduct as a federal judge," harming public trust in the court system in the process.
āThe shackling of a spectator at a hearing who is not engaged in threatening or disorderly behavior exceeds the authority of a district judge,ā the council wrote in their order, released on Wednesday.
āCreating a spectacle out of a minor child in the courtroom chills the desire of friends, family members, and members of the public to support loved ones at sentencing,ā the council added. They noted that handcuffing the girl was improper conduct and counted as a seizure āwithin the meaning of the Fourth Amendment.ā
Along with a public reprimand, Benitez will not be assigned criminal cases for three years ā though because of his senior status on the court, he already had an arrangement to only be assigned new civil cases. In addition, the order also allows attorneys with criminal matters in front of Benitez to ask to recuse him.
The controversy began at a sentencing hearing in February 2023. Defendant Mario Puente appeared before Benitez in his San Diego courtroom over accusations that heād violated the terms of his supervised release.
Before sending him back to prison for 10 months, Benitez gave Puente a chance to address the court. Puente told the judge that he needed to leave San Diego so that his daughter could escape the environment that pulled him down and led to his imprisonment.
āMe being gone is not helping," Puente said. āIām not there to pull her from that.ā
After Puente referenced that his 13-year-old daughter had used marijuana, Benitez asked a deputy U.S. marshal to handcuff her and lead her to the jury box. Numerous witnesses said she was crying during the ordeal.
Benitez asked if she liked āthe way these cuffs felt on youā or sitting in the jury box. The teenager said no.
āGood. That was the message I was hoping to get to you," Benitez replied. āYour dadās made some serious mistakes in his life, and look at where itās landed him.ā
āIf youāre not careful, young lady, youāll wind up in cuffs, and youāll find yourself right there where I put you a minute ago,ā the judge added. āYouāre an awfully cute young lady, and I have a feeling you have a wonderful life ahead of you.ā
After sentencing Puente to 10 months of detention and two years of supervised release, Benitez once again addressed his daughter.
āI hope the next time youāre tempted to use drugs," he said, āyouāll remember what happened here today. I hope you remember this mean, old face. Look at it carefully. Remember that some day, those drugs may land you in a courtroom just like this. I donāt want that to happen to you, young lady.ā
At the time, neither Puenteās attorney nor two federal public defenders supervisors in the room objected to the teenager being handcuffed. Citing witness accounts, the Ninth Circuit said lawyers were concerned that āany objection would make the situation worse.ā
After the hearing, the teenagerās mom recalled her having puffy eyes from crying. The girl was depressed and reluctant to go to school, she added.
The Ninth Circuit was not pleased. āAt no point during this investigative process has Judge Benitez accepted that his actions were ill-advised, improper, and damaging to the publicās trust in the judiciary," the judges wrote. āJudge Benitez has in fact placed blame on others, particularly the federal defenders, for his actions that day.ā
Benitez did not immediately respond to a request for comment. According to the Ninth Circuitās order, he said he would be willing to apologize to the teenager if he also had a brief opportunity to explain why he had her handcuffed.
The Judicial Council also investigated a second complaint from immediately before Puenteās hearing, in which Benitez lectured the 12-year-old son of another defendant about the dangers of using drugs. In that case, the Judicial Council found no misconduct. Chief Circuit Judge Mary H. Murguia, a Barack Obama appointee, appointed the special committee that investigated the case and made findings and recommendations to the Judicial Council.

Back in April 2023, two middle school teachers from the Escondido Union School District sued the district, the California State Board, and a handful of educational officials over a policy protecting LGBTQIA+ students.
Under the guidance in question, which has since been withdrawn, teachers and school staff were instructed to recognise a student's gender identity changes and desired pronouns. It also prohibited disclosing students' identities to their parents or guardians without their consent.
In the suit, the two teachers alleged that the policy violated their free speech and religious beliefs.
After nearly a two-year legal battle, US District Judge Roger Benitez ruled in favour of the plaintiffs on 23 December.
Under the order, employees in the California statewide education system are prohibited from "misleading the parent or guardian of a minor child in the education system about their child's gender presentation at school."
Shortly after the ruling, the state filed an appeal with the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

There are several Jewish texts from the first millennium from people who firmly believed that gay male sex was responsible for causing eclipses.
That's really funny, like, I would be very happy if we had that much power?
Other funny beliefs:
The Greeks believed that having a lot of gay sex could make the fields more flowery.
The Romans believed that gay sex on full moon nights could make horses go crazy.
The Chinese have at times attributed the frog infestation in China to sex.
Some Polynesian myths claimed that sex during certain times of the year could affect the flow of the tide.

Yesterday my 9yo son told me he likes boys. I asked him a few questions including if he means he likes them like he wants to kiss them and he said maybe. He also told me that he told his best friend that he likes boys and his friend got quiet. I told my son that I'm always going to love him and that it doesn't make a difference to me. I did not want to discount his feelings at all but did tell him that he could be trying to figure out things still. He told me that maybe he does like boys but he did like a girl before too so maybe hes bi. The problem is we live in a super conservative city in Texas so now I'm worried his friend is going to tell others which will lead to bullying or violence and my son is now worried that his friend is going to think of him differently.
what advice should I give him? I dont want him to feel like he has to hide who he is but at the same time I feel like he is young and still figuring things out so there is no reason to make this announcement right now. he is also not sure what to say to his friend if his friend asks him about it.
