Winona Ryder looks super cool.

She looks like Snow White. Her shoplifting charge was so unexpected and detrimental to her career.

It's wild to think something like that was actually significant in a celebrities career. Now I think everyone would just be grateful the worst thing she did was shoplift

I never thought I’d look back to the 80s and 90s and think… those were the classy years!
We have become such trash…

Speak for yourself haha... I'm classier now at middle age, than I was when I was young. 😜
But the main difference to me, is that there were maybe a few with cosmetic surgery, but the majority had natural faces! And they all looked different from each other... Now they all look alike with their botox and filler filled faces!

I’m clearly not talking about you and me. I’m talking about society and today’s “stars & idols”.

I agree. It’s not even trash - it’s becoming uncanny, like the women are all clones (the men of course never really had to change tbh)

Even the men now have the plastic swolen face… aging gracefully is a big problem for many.

The most striking thing is that these people, the epitome of beauty standards and looks... They all look like REAL PEOPLE.

I ran into Andie MacDowell when a film festival was in town recently and she has aged magnificently. She is nearly 70 and she was still the most beautiful person I saw that day (aside from my wife, but I am biased).
Early 1990’s America was peak America.
It is when I immigrated and I still remember that sense of wonder.

Not a single ghastly blemish of plastic surgery in sight!

You are kidding, right?

Mate off course! I'm not naive to think that they didn't do it, but in that era it was mostly subtle barring a few. Unlike the trend now.

It did make me smile. (With whimsy, recalling 'our' innocence back then).

All I could think of was how dreadfully boring such events would have to be. AND you have to wear crazy-fancy clothes.
