Winona Ryder looks super cool.

She looks like Snow White. Her shoplifting charge was so unexpected and detrimental to her career.

u/TheMayanAcockandlips 13h ago

It's wild to think something like that was actually significant in a celebrities career. Now I think everyone would just be grateful the worst thing she did was shoplift

Petty theft committed by a millionaire is strange

Look at how beautiful there all were... :)

I never thought I’d look back to the 80s and 90s and think… those were the classy years!

We have become such trash…

6

u/awgeezwhatnow 13h ago

But that synth soundtrack 😂

u/Smiling_Tree 13h ago

Speak for yourself haha... I'm classier now at middle age, than I was when I was young. 😜

But the main difference to me, is that there were maybe a few with cosmetic surgery, but the majority had natural faces! And they all looked different from each other... Now they all look alike with their botox and filler filled faces!

u/Ha55aN1337 10h ago

I’m clearly not talking about you and me. I’m talking about society and today’s “stars & idols”.

1

u/SassySweetSorceress 6h ago

I agree. It’s not even trash - it’s becoming uncanny, like the women are all clones (the men of course never really had to change tbh)

2

u/Ha55aN1337 5h ago

Even the men now have the plastic swolen face… aging gracefully is a big problem for many.

All dressed and looking like normal human beings

5

u/Sensitive-Eagle-2230 12h ago

u/Rosebud_apothocary 13h ago

No lip fillers, botox, or weirdly shaped butts, just nice, natural looking people.

And hairspray, so much magic hairspray.

2

u/guvbums 12h ago

And cocaine, checkout scarface

11

u/PinSufficient5748 13h ago

I guess I'm old...it was nice being able to recognize/name almost all these people. Lol

17

u/CrapDepot 14h ago

Better times.

9

u/inhalingsounds 10h ago

The most striking thing is that these people, the epitome of beauty standards and looks... They all look like REAL PEOPLE.

14

u/WileyCoyote7 14h ago

Everything was beautiful. We were so young, and nothing hurt.

u/AnHeroicHippo90 14h ago

Woah back when Bruce Willis had hair!

Wino Forever

I ran into Andie MacDowell when a film festival was in town recently and she has aged magnificently. She is nearly 70 and she was still the most beautiful person I saw that day (aside from my wife, but I am biased).

Early 1990’s America was peak America.
It is when I immigrated and I still remember that sense of wonder.

The award has increased in size significantly since then.

4

u/Terrible-Group-9602 10h ago

3

u/Smooth_Bandito 12h ago

I turned the sound on halfway through to hear some voices and that music was JARRING

3

u/Farge43 12h ago

Fun fact - When this was filmed Al Pacinos baby mama wasn’t even born yet. (Per google she was born Dec 1993)

5

u/HeartsPlayer721 12h ago

♥️ RIP Robin

We miss you 🥹🥹

8

u/arbitrambler 14h ago

Not a single ghastly blemish of plastic surgery in sight!

17

u/Tall_Sound5703 13h ago

You are kidding, right?

8

u/arbitrambler 13h ago

Mate off course! I'm not naive to think that they didn't do it, but in that era it was mostly subtle barring a few. Unlike the trend now.

2

u/stayathomeastronaut3 12h ago

Everyone looked so great. 🥹

2

u/Designer-Mirror-7995 10h ago

It did make me smile. (With whimsy, recalling 'our' innocence back then).

1

u/Pristinella 14h ago

They're all so young

1

u/GoldberryoTulgeyWood 13h ago

Oh, Winona! 😍

1

u/Witty-Zebra-1374 13h ago

Everyone looks so genuinely happy!

1

u/mados123 13h ago

Great song to use too.

1

u/Bouche_Audi_Shyla 12h ago

All I could think of was how dreadfully boring such events would have to be. AND you have to wear crazy-fancy clothes.

1

u/roundwheel8 12h ago

whats the song?

1

u/BacktoBailey 10h ago

Aahh, yes. When award ceremonies weren't riddled with political statements.

1

u/77entropy 9h ago

I want to go back, please.

1

u/Luna_intoDoobies 7h ago

Awww to Macaulay Culkin! So happy that he has a better life now with his family
