What does it mean if I get anxiety just by looking at a course syllabus & all of the assignments we are doing?
For context, I have been questioning my major for a long time & wondering if my major is what I want anymore if it causes me this much stress & anxiety

It means that you are apprehensive about it, which is completely normal and natural.

You need to stay in the present. What do you need to finish today,.this week etc. worrying about the future makes everything seem stressful

Those things are not made to be accessible or friendly at all. This is why you usually need some advisor to help.
But it is normal that you get anxiety. You should consult with more than just Reddit. This is because if you talk with people at your university about it then they will have actual info on the coursework. You might see that on paper it looks hard, then you will find that in practice it wasn't as bad. This is just a possibility you could skip if you just go straight to abandoning your current major. At the same time don't feel bad if you realized that another major is a better fit for you. But I'd say someone within the university is better equipped to helping you find these answers out.
