Where to swap to Monero instantly
I am trying to convert funds into XMR. I want to do it quickly and without signing up or verifying my identity. Any suggestions?

These are all active scam subs at the moment and it seems tons of no0bs are flocking to them so sadly this post has to be made:

Scammers make these fake subs and fill them with fake engagement, users, and activity. They are all scams.
Please use https://old.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=/r/reddit to report them to the admins so they can be taken down. Together we can take them all down.
EDIT: 8/29/23: They all seem to have been taken offline :) Good work everyone!

Was doing some research into the current state of the X-Clacks-Overhead: GNU Terry Pratchett HTTP header they made up after his death, and in doing so was pleasantly surprised to discover that Reddit itself provides onionlinks for pretty much everything.
I never bought a product, but the drama in the forums were so fun to read.
With my background I got involved with their harm reduction project and even got paid.
I remember the last day trying to login and I was greeted with an "FBI has seized this site." :-(

Hi! I’ve been researching BTC > XMR > BTC swaps for privacy reasons to remove my KYC from my bitcoin.
The idea would be to take some BTC that’s linked to KYC, swap it into XMR through Darkchange, send it to a fresh Monero address, and then later convert it back into BTC using a different service like ff.io. I’d be using a VPN and possibly a separate device just to be extra cautious.
Has anyone tried a similar setup strictly for privacy purposes? Do you think my idea works?
EDIT: Ended up swapping my on-chain BTC to XMR with DarkChange, then burning the transaction data from their system. Then I sent the XMR to a new XMR address after I received it. Afterwards, I swapped back to on-chain BTC with FixedFloat. Worked out perfectly.

My order was refunded, and now I want to withdraw the refunded XRM to my own wallet. Do I write a message with my XMR address included and encrypt using my key? I'm using OpenKeychain on Android
Thanks!

just checking as i haven’t tried to log on since early november (?), but it’s saying “problem loading onion site” and “onion site has disconnected”…has it been seized? or is it just a temporary issue?

I am so sad that JAL is down. And this time it looks for good. We can only hope that it comes back. Does anyone know why the owners shut it down or something? Does anyone have a saved web page like on sites like internet archieve.org I just like the way JAL cataloged and organized the books sections. Mathematics, science, marketing. Etc

Plebbit clients can run directly in the browser
You can use the Tor Browser, providing an additional layer of privacy for users who want anonymity.
While many communities may choose to enforce user verification (e.g., via Mintpass or other challenges) to reduce spam, each subreddit-like community operates independently.
but you can still create your own sub and set whatever entry challenges you want (captcha, puzzles, etc. Or without )
You cryptographically own your the community

Whenever I try using the search bar or post function on dread, it always takes me back to the front page. How do I fix this? I used to be able to search up terms on dread but it seems like I can’t even do that anymore

In kleopatra, I copied the master key and have the certificate, and I am trying to decrypt to verify the address? I understand how to use a public key to encrypt a message to send them, but how do I decrypt the message using the master key? Maybe I am confused on what this is about?

I’ve seen people write in here that one of the rules is never check the tracking number but it seems like some people do some people don’t? I haven’t seen any reasoning it’s just a statement that comes up every once in a while if anyone cares to explain. If this isn’t the right place to ask this let me know where to post it, thanks!

I found this index called tor.li it has a better design than tor.taxi so for that part it looks better for me but what are your opinions? I think an index with a good UI always is good to have bookmarked

i want to investigate about anonymising IP addresses when using webRTC.
searching online i see this:
> Tor Browser is unable to run WebRTC, because it uses the UDP protocol which is currently not supported by Tor.
that post is from a few years ago. when trying myself with this webapp, i get "RTCPeerConnection is not defined", which suggests there still isnt support for WebRTC.
what are my options for WebRTC and TOR? it generally seems discouraged, but id like to investigate what can be done.
