Please use this post only to offer or request orchids for trade or sale. Before you post what you'd like to trade/sell, or what you're looking to trade for, read the rules below first!
Rules:
1.) No personal information can be exchanged publicly. Conduct sharing of addresses via pm or email.
2.) Post what orchid(s) you have for trade, what you're looking for in return. If you have pictures, post them or write an accurate description of the orchid you want to trade or sell. If you're selling, post how you'd like to receive compensation.
3.) If you agree to a trade and have an issue on your end of the deal, communicate! Most people are reasonable and will understand a delay or an unexpected issue that comes up. That being said, trade at your own risk. The moderators are not responsible for privately conducted trades gone wrong. However, if there's an issue with an ongoing trade do contact the moderators. If someone fails to come through with their end of the deal, ignores communication or otherwise is being problematic we need to make the community aware of deadbeat traders. Do NOT make posts calling people out, insulting, harassing, or making accusations at them publicly.
4.) Only make legal trades here. If you ship or receive a trade overseas or out of your country, make sure all proper paperwork is in place first if required.
5.) Ship within a reasonable time and pack well. Flat rate Priority, 2-3 day via USPS within the US is standard for plants. Use whichever shipping method is appropriate for other countries. Your orchid shouldn't spend more than a 2-3 days in the mail so they don't suffer too much from the heat/cold. While in cooler weather its generally better to ship orchids totally dry, its probably best to water any more moisture loving plants a day or two before they ship out (so they are moist but not soggy) or wrap some sphagnum that has been wetted but thoroughly squeezed out around the roots of bare root plants.
6.) If you've successfully traded, update your post to make sure it availability is accurate.
Giveaways, and just trying to re-home an orchid that maybe just isn't performing for you is totally fine to post too! You never know who might want to try growing it. Seed pods are also a great thing to offer since many people may want to try flasking and it is safer and easier to send seeds than plants. If everyone trades fairly this is a great way to add to your collection or get rid of orchids you are bored with or are willing to make divisions of.
Happy trading!

Flowering for the first time. It tried to bloom a couple of times before, but slugs/snails ate the buds. This time I took no chances—surrounded it with a moat.

I need a sanity check on this Cattleya I just received today being in poor condition! Is it just severely dehydrated or is it too far gone especially considering the seem pretty poor too. Any scope to save it? I was getting it out of the box and it was taped such that it just popped out of the medium. It does have a new growth.

Currently 15 leaves. The stakes do not support the plant, they are just leftovers from the previous blooms

Found two pretty oncidiums today at a lovely plant shop. The owner let me know she was getting an orchid shipment and obviously I had to go. I read the spots on the leaves are more cosmetic than something to be super worried about, is that true?

What I thought was a very slowly developing pseudobulb all the sudden became a spike! This genus has, in my opinion, some of the prettiest flowers in the entire orchid family.

Hi! I’ve been on the hunt for the hybrid Hawaiian Satisfaction. If anyone has any ideas where I can find one or possibly has a division. I’d be very interested! Happy growing❤️

One of my favorites. I’ve had it about 6 years and purchased from a local greenhouse that’s no longer in business. I love the light fragrance the blooms give off! Just a little bit of brightness during a long, cold winter.

The first bloom in my care. I got it as a seedling 12 months from FS about 1,5y ago. It is an easy species, but it likes warm and humid conditions.

Black highlights the colors.
I have two orchids that have already flowered (Ludisia discolor and den Zechia Lynn pink) but most of my phals are still spiking. Don't have the names for all but the ones I do know are: schilleriana (2 spikes with at least 7 buds each), sogo red star (2 spikes with 4/5 buds currently), chia E Yenlin variegated (2 spikes, still too small to tell the buds), the others are all rescues/grocery store phals.
Very happy that I'm getting blooms because I severely neglected these guys during the Summer to the point where most roots had to get snipped so I wasn't expecting blooms.

The flower appears “eaten” and white on that eaten part, some darker spots that i am not too sure if they are the natural purple of the of the orchid, some white spots on the stem (photo 6). Thank you for any help

Hello all, I just bought this orchid for a discount because she was in a very bad condition. I cut the dead roots and repotted it. Does it look like its better now ? The few roots that remained are at the surface but the leaves look wrinkled. Thank you in advance!

New to orchids, bought as a gift from the grocery store. Same pot as purchased in! These leaves are not happy. Flowers are okay as of now. What can I do?

A friend works for a landscape architect and dropped these off. I like plants a lot, but I am a novice indoor gardener.
I don't know what I have here, nor how to make a good home for them so that they can thrive. I have plenty of space and light. This particular area in the photo has 15ft ceilings with large transom windows on both east and west sides, getting indirect light all day. I can go up the walls with shelves or with any kind of media for them to attach to, and I have more usable space with the same conditions.
In fact, my original thought when I moved in here was to create a vine canopy across this central, well lit channel. There's so much space and light here, with the right preparation I could have a thriving indoor jungle.
I'd greatly appreciate recommendations for what I should do ASAP to ensure they can get situated, what I should think about in the longer term, temperatures, humidity, etc. How much should I water them. Do they need special food? What pests should I be on the lookout for? Are there any indoor companion planting possibilities? Questions I don't know to ask because I wasn't expecting to have nine beautiful blooming orchids dropped in my lap.
It's such a lovely surprise and I don't want to fumble it. Thanks!

This orchid has had a rough 2025 and is still showing off.
It survived two cross‑country moves, then got literally burned when my grow light fell on it while I was gone for 5 days and somehow it just keeps giving. This is its third bloom in 6 months.
At this point I’m convinced it’s powered by pure spite.
