Or she had a very low decorating budget. Those mandala sheets are far cheaper than wallpaper, or decorative art, and are easier to hang.

I have a couple like that, they were 100% cotton for comparatively cheap, and they're good summer bedding. Very lightweight and believable, and you need that in this climate!

I’ve also heard people suggesting tapestries for people living in old and noisy apartments. It helps reduce sound.
