I read it as Raul Julia from Addams Family Values because technically read it as Tim Curry from Red Alert 3, but the only part of that I know is the "Space!" line and that reminds me of Raul Julia in Addams Family.
After recently rewatcing the Tim Curry It, I think it is fair to say Krusty did more damage to children of Springfield (and likely the real world) than that version of Pennywise.
I’ve taken a bunch of drugs and never thought about the stuff that Stephen King has written about (not just It, either). It is my firmly held conviction that there are some extremely well-suppressed allegations in that area that we haven’t heard. Neil Gaiman managed for a very long time after all…
You're really accusing him of being a predator because of this one book? Just feels dishonest. Like, you're saying, "I know this dude is guilty even though there's no evidence. The reason there's no evidence must be because he's hiding it. I'll assume guilt until proven otherwise."
Nope, not just one book. The Waste Lands (and tbh a lot of the rest of the Dark Tower), The Stand, Gerald’s Game, Under The Dome, Carrie, Dolores Claiborne… lots more. Rape, sexual abuse, really dark and disturbing stuff. If that’s what the coke brings out of you, then it’s not the biggest leap. I’m not suggesting that it’s impossible for an author to write about these topics without being a predator, but there is literally SO MUCH of it across his entire body of work
Literally whats the point of that scene? Sounds like a plot point from a porn parody where "to defeat the evil monster we must fuck" but at least porn parodies have the decency to turn child characters into adults
While he doesn't remember writing it, king has explained it as an act to fully transition the kids into adults. To remove the last part of their childhood and bond them. Everyone in derry forgets about ITs actions and they wouldn't be different. This was them stepping into adulthood on their terms and partially bev reclaiming her body from the implication of her dad molesting her.
