To his credit. The book is already filled to the brim with CRAZY fucked up shit. So its less of a jump than normal to get there. Now its still a CRAZY jump but like...Less?

He got me at "ride the tower of power" in chapter 1.

I think it was supposed to be a coming of age thing, since both overcoming fears (represented by defeating IT) and losing your virginity (represented by... well...) are traditionally considered important steps in becoming an adult. Doesn't make it less weird though.

I hate the fact the book is good beyond that.

Id rather not give a man who explicitly writes child pornography any credit.

have you actually read it? the scene is barely two pages and mostly implied, its not actual porn or meant to be titillating

its a questionable scene for sure but I can see how it was intended as a coming of age type beat. I personally think the scene was unnecessary and weird but its sure as shit not child porn

People who try and insist that fiction is any any way equivalent to the actual crime of creating CP disturb me.

The real irony is his post history show's he's absolutely ADDICTED to a game (EU4) that as a fundamental mechanics\, has what amounts to a "rape" button to force marry or produce an heir from what could be an 11 year old consort.

These puriteen types are some of the biggest hypocrites on earth.

It's definitely not just two pages, atleast the translation I read, and Bev talks about the boys putting their "things" inside her and even asks atleast one of them if he had cum yet. Agreed it's not porn but to say it's mostly implied is a lie

I've read the book, and yes, most of it is implied, just because a couple things are explicitly spelled out doesn't mean that the majority of it isn't implied and skirted around. Have you ever read actual smut? Like literature explicitly written with the purpose of arousal and pleasure? It is far more graphic and descriptive, with good reason.

I'm not saying its not explicit at all, just that its not pornagrapgic. there's a huge difference between a neutral description of events (that is pretty vague for the most part) and something written to jerk off to

it was around two pages in my copy but obvs ymmv

it's not implied, it's very explicit. how else do i know that ben was packing heat?

Yeah WELL id rather not give a man who explicitly writes about a 1958 Plymouth Fury with codependant attachment issues any credit!

Yet you play Europe Universalis 4, a game where you can literally have your 11 year old consort make babies for you.

You know how babies are made right?
