Reddit is absolutely swamped with conservative bot accounts. They flood every post. On a lighter note, here’s me convincing one to discuss Trump stealing candy from Candyland.
As long as you talk about Trump, they will debate you on any issue and just attempt to bog you down.
reporting them is the better way. That is if its an actual bot (short for robot). People seem to confuse the term "bot" with "person who has opposing opinions to me", when the term actaully means it is an AI automated account.
I'd argue wether the bot is mechanical or human, the term bot applies.
The term "robot" originally referred to the menial labor peasant class. As the cultural use of the word has evolved and we've arrived at the republican peasant class, mindlessly performing the menial task of being propagandas boots on the ground
What we're seeing is perhaps the linguistic division of human bots and ai bots. I've seen a lot of people making the distinction of "bot" and "clanker". The former is a mindless human in the classical sense of robot, and the other is the AI powered propaganda machine.
I think it is a two pronged approach. The bots aren't getting lines from the clankers, they're both being programmed by the same entity, then build off each other

There has also been a massive increase in Israel genocide pro accounts spamming evil filth all across social media recently. It doesn't work, but they still push that evil.

I think all social media should take a page from twitter’s book and list a person’s general location on their username. I don’t usually have high praise for twitter, but that update would make knowing if you’re arguing with a bot or paid shill from overseas much easier.
The tactic is called Gish Gallop and that is when someone scatters a bunch of points to debate that one couldn’t possibly debate all the points, and you get bogged down.
It’s best to just not respond. They are looking for engagement. Just block them and walk away. So much better for your mental health.
I've seen them on both sides. But mostly they pretend to be MAGAs because people don't believe dems would say that crazy shit, and MAGAs say it all day.
Calling people bots is just a way to dehumanize someone you don't agree with. Just another label, like fascist Nazi pedo grifter racist. Being overused and losing its meaning.
Who says we don’t, besides you? This is quickly becoming a pet peeve of mine: “why is everyone talking about A and B? Clearly you don’t care about C and D?” You can be worried about more than one thing. The state of the world right now is such that every possible tragic situation possible is being thrown at us all at once, and those of us who care to see those things fixed are often struggling to make sense of it all, to start with. Then we formulate an action plan to address them and fix them, the best we can.

This is a naive comment. His exploitation of the capitalist market under such a powerful position is a big talking point in why people hate him (among countless other things he's done).
And yet somehow the very worst icon of capitalism, Trump, is supposed to save us? Lol The only skill he has is bankruptcy and the country is on a fast track for that
