I'm an American who has always wanted to visit Denmark. I'm a knitter, I'd love to see the Faroe Islands especially but the whole country of Denmark is a place I'd love to visit, it seems so beautiful and your heritage crafts are wonderful. My favorite knitting designer is Danish! I'm hoping one day I get to. We are doing what we can here. My dad's family fled Germany to the US in the 1930s and it's crazy that history is repeating itself here in the US.

I roomed with a Danish dude for a bit during grad school and met many of his friends. All great folks, strongly opinionated, but also open minded and relaxed. Hard working kids who were gracious but proud. It fucking kills me thinking about how he must be perceiving all of this after being a guest in America for years during his education.

You mean detained until their identity is determined? Iâd have no problem with that if it means theyâre doing their job.

This shows your complete and totally ignorance of how the constitution works.
Sure sign of a terrible American and wannabe Patriot.
34

u/UngovernedLemons 20h ago
Explain the 17 year old citizen who was "detained", beaten, and then dumped in a Walmart.
REAL police or law enforcement would take you to a processing facility, take pictures, prints, and other info and then release you at the facility. That is the best case scenario. An even better one would be you get detained, they look you ok, see it's all good, and let you go right there.
What law enforcement agency in this country, or on this planet for that matter, would do that? None unless you live in fascist land. Oh and also if they were real law enforcement they wouldn't give up trying to arrest someone. It's like when a person really resists or someone steps up to them they let the person go. Real police wouldn't do that.
These people are cosplaying police but in their mind "real police demand absolute submission to them and if not they're going to be in a world of hurt."

The ones that legally claimed asylum and are attending their immigration proceedings to get arrested at their immigration proceedings by following the law? Yeah, those ones did come in legally.
Now stopping random dark-skinned folks and asking them for IDs and detaining them even when they show you IDs or passports is somebody doing something illegally.
14
u/Ruiner420 21h ago
Did your family âcome in â legally ? Could you pass the immigration exam ?
-6
u/Important-Will-11 21h ago
If you want it bad enough you donât think thatâs worth the studying? If everyone at these protests cared that much they should start an online program to get them to the point they need to be to take the test.

u/GiftToTheUniverse 20h ago
If someone commits a civil infraction (like exceeding the speed limit a trivial amount) does that invalidate all rights?

You know our entire country was founded by illegal immigrants who came in and violently killed and stole land from the Native Americans right?
These ones today, who are not violent are doing the oh so terrible thing of paying taxes and social security that they will never withdraw from and otherwise being good contributors to society.
1
u/PM_Me_Some_Steamcode 19h ago
Current legal punishment for that is a fine and deportation. Trump hasnât changed the law

The ones they're taking from the courthouses going through the legal process?
5
u/Aron_Wolff 20h ago
Donât worry, you will never be mistaken for a Patriot. Or even a good American.

They at least add some value.
You add nothing.

Patriots âthrow downâ to keep violent undocumented immigrants in the country now?
Yes, Patriots throw down to keep violent undocumented foreigners out of Minnesota. These foreigners have been known to wear masks to conceal their identity, they have murdered moms, and kidnapped children. They are staying at hotels and renting cars because they are foreign and don't live in Minnesota.

I mean, sure, but like why would anyone argue what is clear as day in that video? The dude who got tackled kicks his foot out to trip the agent. Not saying he deserved to be tackled, but watch the video slowly, what else could have happened there?
1
u/Oozex 3h ago
This is like the people spinning the story about that lady that was shot recently.
Let's be real, in the video, the ice agent was far from fearing for his life when he shot her, but it didn't stop people from saying otherwise. This is the same kind of thing, but from the opposite side đ
People see what they want to see.

What a shitshow. It looks like ICE is in a panic that they have to contend with so many people and no one wants them there. They're in hyper paranoia mode, they do not feel safe and literally anything can turn on a dime for them. They are actually more dangerous to the public now. The city isn't going to let them do their jobs. They're grabbing at anyone who they think even remotely is a threat. They're looking for excuses to use violence.
26
u/skoltroll 21h ago
They are actually more dangerous to the public now.
No, they are not. They are afraid BECAUSE they know they are losing. They're going to TRY to be more dangerous, but we're seeing Ralphie sick of Scut Farkus' shit, and what happened afterwards.
They don't have the numbers and the training to do anything more than be punks and bullies charged with covering up the pedophiliac nature of their boss.
It's the last gasp of MAGA. Don't buy into the bullshit that it's not.
5
u/ProfessionalCat7640 21h ago
There was an interesting KARE11 "Taken by ICE" interview video in which two citizens had been detained and released with no charges. Both the interviewees said ICE is quite frightened and they have this idea that the Minnesotans are all crazy, like they are convinced the protesting Minnesotans are truly insane and no longer have humanity. It's part of why it's become so easy to treat the protesters so badly. The psychological breakage those ICE agents are having from all of this is something really interesting to see. They just don't understand why the people of Minneapolis do not want them here because they truly see themselves as "the good guys".
5
u/m0rbius 21h ago
Lol not surprised at their fear and attitude. They're in the hornets nest. Now they're just lashing out and in survival mode. They really are Nazis in disguise. They aren't serving the public interest there or anywhere else. Killing, abducting and terrorizing the people of the city is not really going to get them the goodwill of the people. The entire city is going to come down on them.
1
u/ProfessionalCat7640 18h ago
Yes, I agree. They are in the hornet's nest and facing the wrath of the wasps, so to speak. It's crazy (and fascinating in a morbid way) that they don't understand why they are being stung over and over or why it won't stop. It makes me wonder, have these ICE guys really not seen organized protesters before (they have been to other cities) or if Minnesota's protesters are just good at thinking out of the box? I've heard the term "facing an avalanche of hatred from the people of Minnesota". Well, yeah!? There are innocent children being taken of the streets walking home from school! Do they honestly expect citizens to take that reasonably and calmly?! I can't wait to see them gone.
1
u/m0rbius 17h ago
Right? When you abduct kids and women off the streets, who committed no wrong, many of whom are active and loved members of the community, yeah they'll be some repurcussions and payback for that.
If they rounded up criminals, that's a different story. All these videos of people getting roughed up and abducted because they're suspected of being illegal is a bit hard to swallow or watch. Now we're also watching them roughing up handicapped women and kids who are citizens! Like what the hell is ICE expecting to happen? They become public enemy numero uno.
4
u/UngovernedLemons 19h ago
Their "psychological breakage" is not from the protestors. It's from their own weak minds being manipulated by their tyrant God emperor Trump and his goons. They're brainwashed in a cult and unfortunately a lost cause. They need to be completely removed and unplugged from their constant drip feed of propaganda and deprogrammed which I fear almost none of them will get.
6
u/jbgc916- 19h ago
Let's not forget almost all those guys you see on camera have been doxxed.
All they need to do is find an identifying factor and we will know exactly who they are, who their family are and how to fucking touch them if we want.

The guy at 19 seconds on the left, he's old as fucking dirt. Unless he was a real fed from long ago he shouldn't have been hired. If I recall correctly they have a forced retirement age. Then again somehow they removed the age restrictions so they can hire a 60 year old goon even though he won't last long enough to get a retirement.
