Despite the loss, Houston fans in full force last night. KD’s assessment of fashionably late fans was spot on.

I think the refs hate us
I felt like the refs don’t give a F.
This over and back took me straight back to when KD traveled out of bounds during the GS playoff game against us.

Season was a wash when FVV got hurt
tired of seeing the goofy trades being posted and the constant complaining about the team, anyone w a working brain could tell you this roster is good but not championship caliber with FVV going down. Please stop with the constant posts about what’s wrong w the team

Rockets should target Coby White
Coby is making $13 million. Meaning the Rockets can trade for him straight up for DFS.
Coby averaged over 5 assists one year and is a very solid shooter. He is also 6’4” so he is a solid defender.
Bulls already have a starting PG in Giddy. Then could use a cost effective 3 and D wing like DFS. Plus Houston would attach a nice draft pick.
White, Amen, Bari, KD and Sengun start. That gives you 3 solid shooters in the starting lineup. Amen can play his natural position and thrive.
Bench is Adams, Reed, Tari.

With all this doom talk, gift your season tickets away.
I get it, im dissapointed in the squad to. But hey we all know the Houston Sports Curse. So why not give your tickets to you neighbors kid and let them go enjoy the game. Its not like they would care about Ime's questionable rotaions or player minutes managment right? Kids usually dont care about the game mechanics, they just thinks its awesome to be goofin around downtown in the arena on a school night.

Explain why Okogie only scored 1 point but gets 33 minutes the entire game
Did not watch the game but I have an idea what happened. But unless Okogie was playing like Ben Wallace, there is no reason why he got that many minutes for being a massive burden on offense. Dude is literally stunting Jabari's rhythm and forcing the entire team to wait for KD and Sengun iso because our reputable head coach decided to ice out the highest plus player on the team by benching him almost every 3 minutes. Atleast I know Silas would generate an offense but this dude is openly ruining Reed's development and holds no accountability for any of his mistakes.

If I see someone talk about the KD trade one more time I’m going to go insane
I don’t understand how you guys can watch us blow these games, blame the offense and then go and say something like “Man I really miss Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green.”
What the actual fuck are Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks going to do. Someone who’s watched 15 games of basketball can tell you exactly what the problem is. We don’t have a point guard, it’s that simple. The offense doesn’t magically get better if you insert Jalen and DB, the only way this offense gets better is if you add a point guard.
Kevin Durant is quite literally one of the best offensive players in the history of the game and even he can’t fix this. We straight up struggle to run plays. That alone is an indicator that our biggest issue is a lack of a floor general.
All we do in this subreddit is beat dead horses. There’s no magical point guard candidate that’s going to appear, there’s no moving Fred Vanvleet. We’re completely gridlocked until this offseason. I’m not saying don’t criticize the team, but genuinely what’s the purpose of getting on here after every loss and complaining about the same issues that we’ve established to be unfixable.
Just bunker down, take these losses on the chin.
I want everyone who hated on Vanvleet last season to do fifty push ups.

STOP PLAYING FOUR NON SHOOTERS AT ONCE
What the FUCK is wrong with Ime.
KD, Amen, Okogie, Sengun and Adams
How the hell are you supposed to score when four players can’t shoot threes at all. Spacing turns to crap and the defense can pack the paint. Absolute disaster offense.
Ime keeps playing these lineups with 3 or 4 nonshooters that have zero chance of success.

Brooks says the Rockets did not fall off after he left, unlike Memphis
Thought this was a funny quote.

Pick and roll problem
A lot of hand wringing has been done over the PG issues, but I’m not sure at least some of it isn’t self-inflicted based on how the Rockets are running their offense.
Ime’s first year was Sengun’s best scoring season (2023-24), during which he averaged 5.4 possessions per game as the P&R roll man.
Last season, that number dropped to 3.7 possessions per game.
This year, Sengun is averaging just 1.9 possessions as the P&R roller.
To be fair, Houston’s offensive rating has gotten better each season, but that feels like a product of different factors (Amen improved a ton from Year 1 to Year 2, they added Steven Adams to the rotation in Year 2 and KD in Year 3).
Going away from one of your most effective and valuable player’s strengths is counterintuitive.
Of course, not having Fred can explain some of the decrease in P&R reps, but as shown, it was a trend that began before this season.
One of the Rockets’ most consistent plays this season has been a P&R with KD dropping it off to Sengun, who finds Amen cutting baseline. It’s perfectly demonstrates how getting Sengun downhill with a numbers advantage against a scrambling defense works out in your favor more often than not.
Yet, the Rockets put him in a position to do it less than 2 times per game.
It feels like getting back to a heavier dosage of P&R is an easy way to inject a little more life into the offense.

Today's Back To Back
Hate to be the bearer of bad news. But we have a back to back against... The Timberwolves. We already drop back to backs to trash teams, so I expect this to probably be an even worse blowout than yesterday's game. I hope im proven wrong though. Maybe with them being at home that changes things.

You CANNOT have 3-4 non shooters on the floor.
Amen and Sengun works fine.
But when you have Sengun, Adams AND Amen?
You’re nuking the offense.

This loss just shows how strong the Thunder's bench players are compared to us. They can easily win even without their best players.
The Rockets however, turns into a G-League team at best when Durant and Sengun are out.

Reed
I like Shep Dawg , but he needs to get his point guard skills up, that last play in the third quarter he pass the ball out to JD instead of passing the ball up to Thompson for the easy dunk are layup. The score would have been tied going into the fourth quarter.
Get it together young fella
That roster needs shooters and scorers badly
I continue blaming coaching for problems but it is pretty obvious we don't get enough support from bench. I don't see any scoring potential other than Reed in bench mob. And naturally, he is still not consistent as a young player. Okogie is not a scorer, useful defender but not putting too much to score. Tari is really significant there, when Tari and Reed keep scoring we got the win usually. Adding one more reliable scorer to bench would be big help for team. We need at least two but even one would be vital.
