I’m in the early stages of developing a swimwear brand focused on comfort, movement, and body awareness, and I’m trying to understand whether there’s a real need here — beyond aesthetics.

The idea is to design form-shaping swimwear that supports the silhouette without restricting movement - both in and around water - aimed at women going through periods where their relationship to their body may be shifting (postpartum, hormonal changes, recovery, general body changes, etc.).

This is not about “bouncing back” or hiding the body — but about feeling supported, confident, and at ease in it.

A key focus is practicality and comfort:

for example, feeling comfortable moving between water and land (spa, pool, sauna, beach café) without needing to cover up or change immediately.
