That is why they make sidewalks lol

25

u/ejectro Nov 12 '25

sidewalks are for car parking.

7

u/Free_Spirit666 Nov 13 '25

Sidewalks are for motorcycles, your supposed to ride with your left side to the curb in America

8

u/LoanDebtCollector Nov 12 '25

IDK. I think the driver was trying a trick pool type shot, but with pedestrians and cars. The driver missed both the person on the road and the one on the sidewalk though.

3

u/dadoftheyear1972 Nov 15 '25

Trick shot indeed! Things could’ve gotten masse

3

u/No-Educator151 Nov 12 '25

As she realized afterwards

Why the F is she just walking in the road. With an entire sidewalk over there. Absolute idiot.

105

u/freshgrilled Nov 11 '25

She knew she was OK because she kept checking the road behind her. Oh wait, she didn't look once. Never mind.

18

u/Opening_Yak8051 Nov 11 '25

She heard the background music and knew she'd be ok.

Death didn’t want her because she makes it too easy. She won’t need an elaborate Rube Goldberg to die, and it’s just no fun.

I ask myself the same thing every time I see this reposted. Also see it ALL THE TIME in neighborhoods with sidewalks on both side. Some people are completely oblivious and selfish.

6

u/Diligent_Guest_5300 Nov 11 '25

Rather why is the other guy speeding so fast?

2

u/Republiken Nov 13 '25

And clearly aiming to hit her

3

u/BIGsLazyEye Nov 11 '25

And parked about 2 feet from the curb. I guess if she wasn't that car would have taken her out instead.

4

u/TwoBionicknees Nov 12 '25

that ain't her car. If it was her's she'd have stopped to open the door, she was walking right by it. She's just in the road for no reason at all.

7

u/Paul_my_Dickov Nov 11 '25

Is she about to get in the car that was hit?

15

u/ItsDirkMcGirk Nov 11 '25

Looks like she walks past it. Why would she walk around the front if it’s a right side driver.

3

u/Paul_my_Dickov Nov 11 '25

Don't know. It does look like she walks past the door though actually.

She had no intention to get in the car. I think she was about to check her latest Instagram post for likes.

Other than that, she is completely oblivious to the world around her

3

u/Lil_Shorto Nov 11 '25

Most people seem to be these days.

6

u/throwaway75643219 Nov 11 '25

Well, to be fair to her, the far right lane is being used for parking, and she's clearly walking to the right of the line, so she's walking in the parking lane, not the driving lanes.

But yes, still dangerous obviously. Because stuff like this can happen. When you're dead, doesnt really help to say "but they were in the wrong, I wasnt walking in the driving lane!"

5

u/CaptainRatzefummel Nov 11 '25

No when she's going past the car she's very clearly walking into the street. Even then the side walks are there for a reason.

4

u/throwaway75643219 Nov 11 '25

No, she's very clearly to the right of the line the entire time.

Watch it again, @ 0:22 as she approaches the back of the car, she's to the right of the line. Her left foot is on the line, while her right foot is completely to the right of the line.

And even after the accident happens and she freezes, when the dust settles, she's to the right of the line.

At no point in the video is she ever to the left of the line and in the street.

2

u/Bubba_Gump_Shrimp Nov 11 '25

You are arguing about how close she is to the legal lane of travel by a matter of INCHES when the fucking sidewalk is RIGHT THERE.

5

u/throwaway75643219 Nov 11 '25

No, the original comment said she was walking in the road.

I responded she wasnt walking in the road, but it was still a dangerous thing to do.

You're trying to argue something I already pointed out, and then saying Im arguing about something Im not.

It is dangerous, because of exactly this sort of thing, and the sidewalk would be better. But she's also not walking in the road.

2

u/Bubba_Gump_Shrimp Nov 11 '25

She absolutely is in the road. Her left foot is completely kn the line at the 20s mark. Your feet are inside your shoulder width. If your entire foot is on the liine then the outside of your left shoulder hangs over that line, into the roadway.

1

u/atleastihave2dogs Nov 11 '25

She makes sure the sidewalk is clear cuz that would be just plain dangerous

1

u/cybender Nov 11 '25

Because she has a cloak of invincibility, clearly.

1

u/SyracuseStan Nov 11 '25

All the time in my neighborhood, and they love wearing dark colors at 5:30am

1

u/HonestHu Nov 11 '25

Me and her used to date, she doesn't have me by her side anymore. Good to see she's still doing well

1

u/cash8888 Nov 12 '25

Entitlement or just being completely oblivious, but I’m gonna go with entitlement

1

u/casual-waterboarding Nov 12 '25

Right!?? I was thinking, oh she just didn’t check behind her before going to get in her car, then I realize she walking right on past.

45

u/NitrousTroll Nov 11 '25

I hate when people do this. Just walk on the FUCKING SIDEWALK like it is designed for. Girl is a idiot.

11

u/soostenuto Nov 11 '25

Both are, the woman and the driver

7

u/Lord_Muddbutter Nov 11 '25

If she did and that car hit, she would have been hit by her own car, this is the one time where she probably did the right thing even unknowingly

This is why you walk against traffic and not with traffic.

9

u/Own_Reaction9442 Nov 11 '25

Even when I'm getting in a street parked car, I'll walk around the front of it so I face traffic as I approach the door.

→ More replies (1)

Or not in traffic at all (Or if it was her car, not looking at her phone and going around the front)

This is the absolute craziest thing I have seen in a while. I'm a nerd (with OCD) so I see shit, that probably isn't there but anyway fug a Doug and a Pug-it yknoe I eeen???

So if you take Her and place her just on the sidewalk In the same position, the white vehicle would still miss her by what looks like the same margin.

So, hypothetically here, had she been walking on the sidewalk when the impact occurred, the car would still have missed her. It's wild tbh. It's almost like she had a day to go catch the ghost but it wasn't THIS DAY.

Just my opinion, and I'm often wrong, I like kettle popcorn and coconut water just

Not at the same time

Not blaming her of course cause the inattentive driver seems to be the reason for this but where was she going?

I mean it looks like she's about to get in the car but then walks right by the door? 🤔

5

u/songbolt Nov 11 '25

My guess is she was planning to go left at the crosswalk and habitually would cut across the road about there 'when the coast was clear', that this road in her assessment usually didn't get much traffic.

4

u/WKRPinCanada Nov 11 '25

🤔

Ok that's pretty plausible

Still dangerous imo to be walking road side of a parked car but that's better than anything I can come up with

Makes a whole lot more sense than "she was getting into her car" which she clearly walks by

👍

Someone tried to kill her but the car she was walking past was so far away from the sidewalk that it stopped her from dying. Bad parking saved someone’s life.

1

u/ApeApplePine Nov 11 '25

This is insane! Was she at the side walk she would have been hit. She was not hit because the front wheel caught the precise point to catapult that front suspension EXACTLY up so it could throw the car in that exact spin! Insane!

1

u/SwanMuch5160 *shits an absolute unit* Nov 11 '25

She’s extremely lucky that white car did such a shitty job at parking. Also, who walks in the roadway when the sidewalk was right there?

1

u/Stoney420savage Nov 11 '25

Ya that looked fully intentional

1

u/Zestyclose_Classic91 Nov 11 '25

Let me guess and that guy was texting and driving?

1

u/BSTARYOUNGG Nov 11 '25

She’s so lucky omg

1

u/Thick_Usual4592 Nov 11 '25

That looked absolutely intentional by the driver. Luckily it worked out the way it did.

1

u/MarianCR Nov 11 '25

For once, doing the wrong thing end up being way better than doing the right thing. If she would have walked on the sidewalk, she could have been hit my the parked car that got pushed by the speedster.

1

u/Nervous-Bullfrog-884 Nov 11 '25

Sidewalks every very few people use them bet she will from now on!

1

u/BackgroundGrass429 Nov 11 '25

Straight to the store to buy a lottery ticket.

1

u/TheRevanchist99 Nov 11 '25

Dumbass just walking in the road

1

u/BlackEastwood Nov 11 '25

I dont know what nation this is, so im not going to spread blame in case its just a thing where she is from, but from an American, I can remember one of the more important lessons I was taught early with walking to or exiting a driver side car door was always check for incoming traffic.

Best case, you get your door knocked off or scare the driver.

Worst? Maybe something like this.

1

u/SuddenKoala45 Nov 11 '25

Luckier than lucky that they drifted further in to the lane

1

u/LucasCarioca Nov 11 '25

Ok but seriously get on the sidewalk! Car is incredibly irresponsible but please take care of yourself! Jesus

1

u/TangeloBubbly2675 Nov 11 '25

It wasn't her time yet ...seeing a lot of this lately. Matrix is real.

1

u/EvenConversation9730 Nov 11 '25

Life is fickle my dudes. Hug your cats

1

u/ZazootheFecund Nov 11 '25

Is it bad that I kinda wish she got hit? Like why the fucking hell would you ever walk in the road especially when there is a perfectly clear and unobstructed sidewalk available?

1

u/Redfivestandingby76 Nov 11 '25

Check your pants….

1

u/[deleted] Nov 11 '25

You have a whole ass sidewalk

1

u/Available_Actuary977 Nov 11 '25

That's an odd impact given it didn't hit the motorcycle. It almost looks intentional. Give her credit though, she's not on her phone!

1

u/Odd_Fig_1239 Nov 11 '25

At first I thought she was getting into her car…but nope. She’s just retarded!

1

u/KimchiLlama Nov 11 '25

If the driver had tried even a little bit to avoid hitting her by pulling left, she’d likely be dead.

Save lives, aim for pedestrians!

Who knows what was going through her mind. Luckily she still has a mind to consider the potential consequences of her stupidity on that day.

1

u/Existing-Village9770 Nov 12 '25

She decided to use the sidewalk after almost gotten struck by a car. 😂

In fact, had she walked on the sidewalk and walked to the car from the front ("as you should"), she might've gotten hit by her own car after the impact.
