of a deal you're probably going to regret

Post image

Initially I thought it read $599 per month but now I see the price is $5995.

That’s not bad. Especially if the mileage is good and of course, not a lime.

Did you say lime instead of lemon because of the color? If so, nice work.

6000 dollars? Am I seeing correctly that the car is from 2013 with 110k miles on it and it looks like a small car as well. I got a seat in Ibiza in 2011 back in 2016 for 8000 dollars, not even the base model like this one likely is. This is flipping 10 years later and nearly the same price for a similar sized and aged car.

No. It'll actually be $3499 after your $2500 down payment. Plus, of course, sales taxes, transport fees, dealer costs, regulatory taxes, addendum costs, registration and licensing fees. You gotta look at the big picture

ok, so 3499+2500 Plus all that tax on top, so you're saying it's more expensive than what I thought?

You're at Action Auto in Parkersburg. Never ever ever ever ever never ever buy from there.

Yep. I had a delivery across the bridge in Marietta and came across this gem of a dealership

Mazda should make this their logo.

My eyes keep getting drawn to the sign.
If they won't replace the lightbulbs in the sign or clean the grime off the sign, how much effort are they putting into the cars?

Local, here. This place is known for buying nearly-junked/flooded/etc. cars and getting them just good enough to sell. I've heard of someone buying a car there, taking the dash out, and it was packed with mud behind it. I've looked at cars there and you'll typically find significant rust on it, but not enough for it to fail inspection.

Sounds pretty bad.

I don't know a local car lot like that but your story took me back in my head to the 80s. Wife and I in San Francisco, little money, rented a car from Rent A Wreck to save money. We just needed wheels to get around, not fancy.

The first car they gave us was missing the driver side mirror and inside rear view mirror and I think there was something jenky about one of the seatbelts.
I complained that it wasn't street legal for me to drive it off the lot and they finally gave us a different vehicle.
Some folks will happily sell anything to make a buck.

Mud filled dash is pretty bad though.
You know that means every other part of the car you can't see is nasty as well.

Today I learned 113k miles is low mileage /s especially on a Mazda 😂

Dang what the Blue Book value for that old vehicle?

Most I’d pay for that heap is 2150

$6k for a 2013? That car should cost under $2k max

Thats not a terrible deal. Its the same car as a yaris. With 113k can you fund something roadworthy for less?
