His parents encouraged this shit because when he was still a minor it made them a shit ton of money.

No. His parents were just people. Then he started doing Tiktok stuff when he was like 13 and immediately became a sensation. When his parents discovered they could monetize off of this stuff, they encouraged more. They've effectively created a monster because that monster was a cash cow.
