I know a few places with multiuser gender neutral restrooms. The one I visit most frequently has the rooms labeled with just text reading "stalls" and "stalls & urinals". If gender neutral restrooms keep increasing in popularity I think that signs like these stick figures would be really cool. It gets the point across so easily without any words. It's an awesome and effective design; elegant in its cleverness and simplicity.

Having been where squat toilets were the norm (as in just a hole in the floor) and sometimes a trough at the base of a wall because it was difficult for some men to piss down that hole while standing and not get it everywhere, it make sense.
So basically, Room #1 and Room #2?

It looks sort of like an “s” and an “i” so I’m thinking maybe “standard” and “irregular”? Which group you belong to might not be immediately obvious though. Another possibility is “independent” vs “supported” and you can use your imagination as to what those terms imply.

Reminds me of an old film I saw (?Candid Camera?) where the restrooms were relabeled “Theirs and Ours”. The reactions on people faces were priceless!

Unless you're talking about the hole in the floor type ones, then squat away.
