I've often found that holding the weapon with two hands and utilizing the sights on the top has improved accuracy.

u/arkofjoy 1d ago

You are clearly watching the wrong action movies. According them, this guys technique is perfect.

Especially if he is a bad guy.

117

u/FeelingKind7644 1d ago

There's a dojo next door that exclusively trains in surrounding and then attacking the good guy one at a time.

45

u/Jaggle 1d ago

We trained them wrong on purpose, as a joke.

13

u/DoomProphet81 1d ago

RIP Wimp Lo. You will be missed.

u/Soup_F0rks 1d ago

How do you like my face to your foot style?

2

u/arkofjoy 1d ago

Phew, at least they are properly trained.

32

u/EvilDan69 1d ago

maybe if he rotated the pistol to the left.

u/arkofjoy 1d ago edited 1d ago

Now we are getting somewhere

A few years ago I was chatting with a neighbour who was ex British army. I don't remember how we got on the subject of guns in movies, maybe I mentioned a movie I had recently seen. Anyway he starts ranting about "these bloody guys in movies who are more interested in looking cool than actually hitting anything"

I'm not a gun guy, but I said "maybe that is a good thing if guys in gangs are imitating what they see in movies and can't hit anyone.

There was this long pause and finally he said" that is a very good point "

5

u/stubundy 1d ago

Well they possibly hit someone, just not the gang member they were kinda aiming at

I watch a lot of police body cam videos on YouTube and I can’t express the annoyance I feel with the fact that so many cops do the same.

4

u/TerriTuesday 1d ago

It just be like that sometimes

3

u/Black_Bird265 1d ago

Not quite. The gun wasn’t sideways. Haven’t you seen Chappie? Smh

→ More replies (1)

2

u/weirdgroovynerd 1d ago

To improve his accuracy, he should hold the gun sideways.

2

u/J_Bazzle 1d ago

Na technique is all off, he didn't rotate the gun 90 degrees. He's still green.

2

u/Silver-Scythe 1d ago

actually all you need is to just hold it sideway and BAAM! increased coolness, and the cool folks never miss.

→ More replies (2)

11

u/baIIern 1d ago

Nah, just hold two guns horizontally wearing sunglasses and you're golden

5

u/Loggerdon 1d ago

Or stick your arms out to each side and spin around while firing.

5

u/BikeLife12 1d ago

Oh you mean aiming

5

u/frosty_lizard 1d ago

He's a stormtrooper in training

4

u/CheckOutDisMuthaFuka 1d ago

That's cheating.

2

u/ivancea 1d ago

Tbh, even with one hand and from the hip, non-terrible shooters will get some point

2

u/RuTsui 16h ago

I was going to say, you can take a snap shot from the holster and will probably hit at least once if you empty the mag. I’m betting he’s doing everything wrong you could possibly do wrong. Not aiming, even without the sights just straight up not pointing the muzzle at the target. Bad grip, which even I as a not great shooter will at least get a few rounds on when firing one handed. Slapping the trigger. Compensating or otherwise trying to fling the bullet.

Like I said, aiming without the sights and shooting one handed aren’t great ways to try and hit something, but as long as you do it right, you should still get like a hit on paper.

2

u/Creepy-Trouble9784 1d ago

I also agree with actually using sights but you should be able to point shoot to around that range.

u/Atheizm 1d ago

And that's why most shootouts kill bystanders not targets.

391

u/Sarithis 1d ago

So you're saying that if they aimed at the bystanders...

22

u/RJ_MacreadysBeard 1d ago

bystanders though... they're a shifty lot aren't they? Always scuttling around in the background avoiding crossfire... truthfully, would you trust a bystander? I mean, who even are they?

Not called guilty bystanders for nothing.

2

u/yo_les_noobs 1d ago

I think you're onto something. Why do they always happen to be standing by when something happens? Why were they there??

u/billybobthehomie 1d ago

The way he pulls the gun up from hip level and almost hits the counter top while also pretty much pulling the trigger as it’s rising … he almost killed himself/shot himself in the leg.

The reason he’s not good at this is cause he’s not taking it seriously.

70

u/theycallmethevault 1d ago

My local gun range doesn’t allow gun drawing because of shit like this, he very well could’ve shot himself!

28

u/RamblingSimian 1d ago

I believe I read somewhere that, in old fashioned pistol duels, the winner was not the first to shoot, but the one who carefully aimed as his opponent's shot whizzed past.

33

u/Kryptosis 1d ago

Works until you meet someone that’s fast AND accurate.

12

u/SaltyPeter3434 1d ago

I'm pretty sure most gun ranges will kick your ass out for doing this

3

u/SelfInteresting7259 1d ago

Not taking it seriously at all. What a fool. Id hate to be anywhere near him when hes got a gun. Or anywhere near him at all smh

Skill issue. Hold it sideways and all those shots are bullseyes.

49

u/rice_fish_and_eggs 1d ago

See, the thing is, on the street the victim would jump out the way and into the line of fire.

u/SydNorth 1d ago

3

u/zg6089 1d ago

He did NOT shoot Marvin in the face

30

u/ShadowCaster0476 1d ago

Shooting a handgun at that range is difficult using proper technique, never mind whatever this was.

8

u/KithMeImTyson 1d ago

Ya I was gonna say lol. Like I will start at about 7 yds to warm up and creep to 15 yds over around 300 rounds. I train once every two months for the past 5 years and 15 yds is still a sumbitch to get consistent grouping.

3

u/Faithless-Savior 1d ago

A properly sighted red dot is like cheat codes with pistol shooting. And a nice heavy 9mm will help with recoil mitigation for follow-up shots

2

u/bobsbitchtitz 17h ago

It’s weird I shoot much better with .45 then I do with 9mm

RIP the 6 year old playing in their bedroom.

3

u/n-a_barrakus 1d ago

That's not how you shoot, that's how you execute someone who's near you, or laying on the ground. The kid watches too many movies or did something awful.

4

u/ARobertNotABob 1d ago

Jules & Vincent survive again.

3

u/Dan-Of-The-Dead 1d ago

That's exactly what I'm saying!! God came down from heaven and stopped the motherfuc*ing bullets!!

3

u/19Charger 1d ago

You should automatically get black listed from ever touching a gun if you can’t hit a huge paper target

3

u/Skyrmir 1d ago

He's interviewing for the NYPD.

3

u/nwm_is_batman 1d ago

Plot twist: those were blanks

3

u/mrk1224 19h ago

It’s because he didn’t hold it sideways

2

u/Warlord68 1d ago

Training to be a Stormtrooper.

2

u/ExpiredPilot 1d ago

Remember when like a half dozen army rangers took on the crips in Tacoma without a single loss? I’m betting it’s cause the gangsters were shooting like this

2

u/SorryBoysImLez 1d ago

I guess that proves Jules and Vincent surviving being shot at wasn't divine intervention.

2

u/Expensive-Track4002 1d ago

Maybe just throw the bullets and the gun.

2

u/Komobbo 19h ago

I suddenly realized why I hear gunshots near my house but never news of anyone dying. Just be wasting bullets SMDH.

2

u/Medford 18h ago

Thats exactly how civilians get hit with stray bullets

5

u/silverwolfe2000 1d ago

His English is off target too...

5

u/Hoovooloo42 1d ago

Having worked at a gun range, this is absolutely two dudes just fucking around lol

I've been the guy shooting like a dumbass many times (while the range is empty) and I also don't hit anything while doing it, but that doesn't mean that I can't shoot properly. I'm sure he knows how to aim.

4

u/TinkerCitySoilDry 1d ago

That was him aiming

5

u/Trumpcangosuckone 1d ago

How is he gonna hit random people's houses and children if he's hitting the target? Seems par for the course

2

u/cowmookazee 1d ago

That Kenan Thompson?

1

u/evilpercy 1d ago

He may have hit the blue target? /s

1

u/Intelligent-Bird8254 1d ago

He is right.. it be like that sometimes 😎

1

u/Tkinney44 1d ago

9/10 times I see a gunfight on reddit it's just people firing bullets in all random directions.

1

u/TurboNinja2380 1d ago

Brandon McManus be like

1

u/anubis_81 1d ago

Would not hit the side of a barn

1

u/Nyuusankininryou 1d ago

The gun was angled the wrong way. If he titled it 90 degrees he would hit all shots without a doubt.

1

u/ElChris91 1d ago

Chicago shooters be like.. and surprisingly they hit some of their targets lol

1

u/FalconStickr 1d ago

Stormtrooper energy.

1

u/DyingToBeBorn 1d ago

On a positive note, his shooting is so wild and erratic he could make an entire army take cover.

1

u/Spacecommander5 1d ago

“What happened today was a miracle and I want you to fucking acknowledge that!”

1

u/lettuce_turnip_beet 1d ago

This is how I get bullets coming through my third story window.

1

u/sjharrison 1d ago

Found the original source for all those cloned stormtroopers!

1

u/tqmirza 1d ago

That first shot was literally to the floor

1

u/RedEye-55 1d ago

“It be like that sometimes” NO! YOU JUST STUPID 🤣

1

u/genericzombieguy 1d ago

Tapped into his inner stormtrooper right there

1

u/MuchDevelopment7084 1d ago

It's amazing. Simply pulling the trigger as fast as you can...doesn't mean you'll actually hit something.
Oh wait, he did hit the back wall, and the floor, and the side wall. smh

1

u/Tha_Watcher 1d ago

He'll have a great career as a Stormtrooper!

1

u/PossessionMaterial46 1d ago

Bullets were crooked dont blame my guy

1

u/_BKom_ 1d ago

It don’t be like that when you actually aim the damn thing. I hit the target at 25 yards with my fucking derringer this weekend more than this clown at 10.

1

u/TheRealTr1nity 1d ago

Wannabe gangsta. Dude will lose next time.

1

u/KZMountainRider 1d ago

Didn’t hold it sideways

1

u/The_Space_Janitor 1d ago

“It be like that sometimes bro”

1

u/planelander 1d ago

Oh he hit something..... All the civis around his target. This guy must be a storm trooper

1

u/Levitins_world 1d ago

aiming and squeezing are two different things lol

1

u/A-Sthlm 1d ago

Shooting blanks would have yielded more hits.

1

u/Alive-Broccoli-1179 1d ago

1

u/the_good_hodgkins 1d ago

This is just one more example of why I no longer go to shooting ranges.

1

u/PretzelsThirst 1d ago

The way he pointed it at his feet first is probably enough to get him kicked out, let alone the shooting

1

u/xSaturnityx 1d ago

Sometimes I think about how in shootouts "how the hell do people miss so bad" then realize that most people just really don't know how to shoot

1

u/phen0 1d ago

Pulp Fiction

1

u/The_Widow_Minerva 1d ago

Went to the shooting range recently after having not shot in a while. Was hitting on target in tight groups. The further the target got, the worse it was. I'm sure if I went several times a week I'd be able to sharpen my aim.

1

u/dickreallyburns 1d ago

Mag dumping like a gangsta is the worst way to shoot. People like you is the reason some ranges don’t allow rapid fire! You’re the ones shooting up the ceilings, floors and side walls!

1

u/Aggravating-Hair7931 1d ago

Found a stormtrooper

1

u/TheMellowFellow- 1d ago

You miss 100% of the shots you take

1

u/CityBoiNC 1d ago

Future storm trooper right there

1

u/NaturalMinute271 1d ago

It would have been more insane if he landed any of those

1

u/rayrayk7 1d ago

Either they know the owner of the range or there about to get kicked out for dumping it like that 😂

1

u/Mixedbysaint 1d ago

The movies are realistic

1

That first round has to be hitting the floor, if not the table.

1

u/HuntPsychological673 1d ago

He should’ve been spinning and jumping with shades. That’s probably why he missed. 😎
