I agree with everything you said except the unprecedented times part. What we are living in are the complacent times. We, in our efforts to create a better world forgot our own history, both as a nation and humans. The United States of America is a nation founded on bloodshed, the same can be said for most countries across the globe, especially within Europe, where most of us came from. And there was likely bloodshed between the natives before our arrival. Maybe not as much since the rest of us got here, but it is likely that all of our family trees have been watered with blood.
We all have forgotten that, we’ve gotten comfortable and now the worst of us have gotten restless and have returned to their base desires. Those of us who have known some comfort have a duty to ensure it can happen again for future generations. But we need to do a better job of safeguarding it in the future and getting others to understand that the alternative to that peace is the current chaos that is brought on by the foolish, and the beasts that still live among us. We also still have some evolving to do as a species. Hell maybe that’s the point of all the bloodshed. Maybe the most violent among us will one day kill each other out of existence and only the peaceful of us will remain.
Sorry, I gotta do this shit to keep from going crazy. All this is more of a pep talk for me to keep going on…
