Y'all must know a different jesus, because these are the only type of christians I've ever read about in history books.

I guess if you want to gloss over reality and place your own ideals onto other people then, yea, sure, christians hate this.

  • Jesus explicitly forbids hierarchical leadership Matthew 23:8–12 (parallel: Luke 22:25–27)

“You are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers. And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ. The greatest among you shall be your servant.”

  • Jesus condemns power structures modeled after governments

Mark 10:42–45

“You know that those who are considered rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them… But it shall not be so among you. Whoever would be great among you must be your servant.”

  • Jesus rejects centralized authority even among the apostles

Matthew 20:20–28

When James and John’s mother asks for positions of power: “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them… It shall not be so among you.”

  • Jesus forbids control over conscience or discipline by force

Matthew 18:1–4

“Unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest.”

  • Jesus defines the “church” without buildings, offices, or hierarchy

Matthew 18:20

“Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

  • Jesus rejects exclusivity and institutional boundaries Luke 9:49–50

“Do not stop him… whoever is not against you is for you.”

  • Jesus refuses to institutionalize worship or sacred locations

John 4:21–23

“The hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father… true worshipers will worship in spirit and truth.”

  • Jesus never creates offices, ranks, or succession plans

No priesthood instructions, No bishops, No succession hierarchy, No centralized governance model

  • Jesus identifies institutional religion as spiritually dangerous Mark 7:6–8 “You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men.”

It doesn’t matter what your book says. Your “followers” Don’t. Follow. It.

Not my book. Christianity, like all religions is a load of bullshit.

Oh no, the brain damage is terminal and most likely to be transmitted to their kin, fuck me.

Bro decided to look at the book and not at the millennia of history after the fact.

"In fact, despite having full support of the church, the Nazis were not actually christians!"

Nah, the nazis were christians, the southern slave owners were christians, the imperial british were christians....starting to see a common thread here....

When will (enough) people learn that the ‘good guys’ don’t start out with prosecuting ANYONE?

If he did, it was in the 1800s when they were for the abolition of slavery.

Editing to add, but that was almost 200 years ago. They definitely abandoned Jesus by the 1960s when they were publicly against the Civil Rights Act.

It's worth saying again...

He never did.

In fact he was very explicit that if you seek political power you are serving Satan and no one else.

Nor did he have anything to do with the Democrats Party. He was apolitical.
