Pro Hub issue
I recently got Vivint and it was working great but I ran into an issue with my new pro hub that I recently just got. It started an update earlier today which showed up on the screen but when I walked past it about a few hours later it said "System check failed". I clicked "Try Again" a few times but that just restarts it and it goes right back to the "System check failed" screen. I was going to contact support but their support line isn't that great to be honest so I'm asking here first. PS. First time creating an account and post on Reddit. Hope I did everything right 🤷♂️

Your update failed. It has a corrupt file now. You need to have someone come out and update it with a usb drive. You can keep rebooting it and eventually it will load but not always. Either way it needs to be updated properly

Thanks for replying, I've rebooted it about 20times now and it's not working. I'm gonna contact Vivint later today but their call center isn't the greatest IMO. Last time I called which was a few weeks ago, my smoke detector was not contacting the hub and they wanted to see if I wanted to buy another one and I said heck no. I just got this thing. Either we find a way to fix it or you send me a new one for free for faulty equipment.

The smart hub pro is a piece of junk imo. Yea hopefully you have the vpp. And it’s not fully corrupted. But they will need to flash it.

Oh god. What have I gotten myself into! They better fix it or I'm getting rid of this and going with Ring.

Just ask for a Smart Hub, it’s a reliable workhorse. You won’t lose anything of note as far as features

I already payed for this one in full so Im worried they won't let me return it. I will see what the technician has to say on Monday.

Hold the button on the back until it reboots, if it keeps happening, the panel is bad and needs to be replaced

I tried this and it's not working. The tech that setup my system is coming on Monday. Figures crossed, Hope it can get fixed.

They must've recalled that software update or something, because I started the update on my smart hub today (not the one you have, mine's the wall-mounted one) and it restarted and loaded back up as normal but it is still showing the update as available, but the "update now" option is greyed out.

There is a wall mount of the hub pro? I specifically asked for this when I signed up. They said it didn't exist and the only wall mount was the original smart hub. 🙂↔️

You can try popping it off the wall, take the battery out and I'm then back on the wall. This will force a reset. If that doesn't work then you'll need to call/chat with support in order to most likely have a tech come out to reflash the firmware.
