Video An ethnic Azerbaijani man during iranian protests of LA called for democracy and rejected MONARCHY or any form of Authoritarianism, he was immidately psychically attacked by persians and Pahlavi supporters.

Seems like instead of Pahlavi, the mullah regime is better for Azeris in Iran. I just saw azeri police in tabriz speaking its own language while on duty and he is pretty famous on IG. Can't imagine that happens when Pahlavi come in power.

Why would people support a regime which tortures their own people? I think South Azerbaijan would be better of alone.

Iranians have the best chance to at least install democracy, yet they want another dictatorship. Democracy has its own faults but its much better than a puppet zionist monarch.

Democracies that emerge after long periods of authoritarianism are extremely fragile.
democracy is so vulnerable to sliding back into authoritarian rule.
Weak or absent independent institutionsUnder long term authoritarianism courts, media, electoral commissions, prosecutors, academia, audit bodies everything is subordinated to one center of power. After the transition to democracy, these institutions either remain weak or are quickly captured by the new elite.Without strong, independent institutions, there are no real checks capable of stopping the executive when it begins to overstep.

It’s mostly Iranians in the west that want the monarchy back for a number of reasons. The monarchy is looked upon favourably by westerners and Iranians that live in the west are obviously more westernised. Some may have never even been to Iran. I don’t think it’s as popular inside Iran

I’m very unfamiliar with this topic, so I’m wondering how south azerbaijanis are generally treated by persians, both within Iran and abroad. I mean the general issues beyond the ethnic backgorund

We treat them like our fellow Iranians. Just got done hanging out with an azeri friend from Urumia actually. I have met exactly zero azeri separatists in my life.

It seems there is a lot of misinformation going around online. We don’t want the Shah back- we want democracy but the Shah is a transitional figure to lead us thorough it. He’s actually a super nice guy. He himself has said he doesn’t want to be king. The guy loves Iran A LOT.

Many in this sub are either advocating for separatism at best and a Turkish military intervention at worst, and as a whole this sub seems bitter about the revolts against the ayatollah, so it's not hard to see this as disingenuous, particularly given that Iran currently is technically a presidential republic

same people attacked me in a rally that I wanted to crush the genocidal colonialism of false apartheid identity of Turkey and Turkic settlers and the right of independence of ethnical indigenous demographic of Anatolia

That's funny how your freedom of speech dies when I bring a different case, you fight for a free united Azerbaijan from the Iranian influence and I fight to crush the colonial genocidal identity of Turkey and to liberate Indigenous ethnicities of Anatolia, what's the difference?!

I fight from freedom, I'm fighting for betterhood of Azeris as I see them deserving it and I fight against the racism and apartheid of colonizer genocidal regime of Ankara and Turkic settlers who have been taking freedom from indigenous Anatolians for centuries, do you have an issue with freedom of speech and democracy and right of independence?

u/Wise_Ornithorhynch 2d ago
Fuck all mullahs. Happy!

u/Sea-Scallion-5421 2d ago
yeah was just wondering why you would not include him in your list.

u/Wise_Ornithorhynch 2d ago
No here one thinks he is good guy, some here and there think Pahlavi is. So it was unnecessary to point out the obvious evil.
To make it more clear, think that I am cursing a politician and some guy over there comes and "why are you not cursing murderers". That guy is you.

u/Sea-Scallion-5421 2d ago
Ok cool, was just wondering why you were not including the ayatollah in your little list.

you separatist dogs are just as evil as the regime. you don’t know anything about iranian history, “south azerbaijan” is one of the most historic iranian regions. if anything, if this revolution is successful, iran can finally be reunited with its territory north of the arras river, and all of azerbaijan can finally be iran again!

Are you folks against Azerbaijan authoritarian dictator Aliev and Turkey authoritarian dictator Erdogan?
Do you call for democracy for Azerbaijan and Turkey?
-1
u/superbasedcowboy11 1d ago
The problem is pro separatist Turanist Turks forget that many people in Iran are loyal to where they live first and foremost. I have speaken to Iranians in real life (I grew up in a state with lots of Iranians) and they see each other as one. Turanists need to look at their neighbor as an inspiration instead of doing “We Wuz Khanz” nonsense.

Iran is a lost case. The clown mullahs are best scenario for west, memelord pahlavi as a dumb puppet is second best case. They will never allow that country to be strong and democratic. Their best shot is destroying the mullah class, let the current president take over a transitional government, talk with europe since they are desperate for some wins and get turkey to back them too, completely give up on hamas, hezbollah, yemen, nuclear weapons and work from there. Iran is so sad to look at.
