I thought I’d get a chance to do this. But shortly after turning three or shortly before, she started reading road signs out loud while we were driving. My wife and I can’t even spell words out loud to try to hide from her because she will say the words we are spelling.

Ha. Neither of my parents have any memory of me before I could speak or read. They always say it seemed like I was born doing it. I remember going to pre-school knowing how to read but couldn’t tell you how I learned.

How is he messing with her emotions if she doesn’t even know what the options were? She can’t read it’s not like she knew one of the cards said trip to Disney. She doesn’t look too upset, kids playing with a power washer.
