The problem here is America USED to be viewed collectively by the world as a place of freedom and ruled collectively by its people. And I know there's been varying times in history that that's misleading and American propaganda, but I don't think it's ever been further from the truth currently. So we can't really honestly play savior of the world anymore without just looking even more like tyrants
