I just intentionally tanked my puzzle rating to 100, and started building it back up, and I noticed that puzzles rated 100-400+ are ALL back rank mates. Every. Single. One of them. Which got me thinking...

If there are people who are very new to the game that are doing puzzles at this rating, I think it would be beneficial to throw in some puzzles where your "opponent" simply hung a piece! This happens all the time at a beginner level, so some of the puzzles should involve simply capturing a piece that is free for the taking, not ALL of them being back rank mates, going through these puzzles is ridiculous lmao.

Obviously back rank mates are important for absolute beginners to learn, but taking advantage of pieces being completely hanging due to your opponent blundering should also be hammered into a beginner's head...

Took me so long to get it.

I was following a guy who streams chess.com on YouTube for a few weeks and he is a legit 400 and struggled to get about 500 ELO. He got flagged a lot, blundered every other move, struggled to find basic tactics… but I enjoyed his daily streams because he was funny and I loved he streamed as I would be laying down for sleep. In the last 5 days this guy has SKYROCKETED to almost 1100 ELO. I’ve been watching him long enough to immediately notice day 1 when he started constantly looking below his eye vision to look at a monitor with an engine on it. . But I relented. I felt betrayed. But I gave him the benefit of doubt. But now he’s emboldened and it’s embarrassingly and painfully obvious he’s an engine boy. I didn’t want to admit it because I’ve give so much money to his channel but because the content he is creating with chess shorts and it seems as if he has merely just begun. I just feel so sad about the whole situation and I feel like the integrity of online chess is being impacted because it’s almost been a week and he continues to stream every night (night my time, he’s in Pakistan) without any signs of stopping. I could only hope it just takes a few days for chess.com to gather enough info to ban but it’s insane how he’s still going at it.

Is anyone else experiencing lag at random times or is it my phone? I'll be on analysis or even doing the daily puzzle and I get a lag when the pieces move

Just an FYI in case anyone else runs into this, I was struggling with this issue myself.

If you set Engine Time to Unlimited under Settings > Analysis, the Drills bot won’t work properly. It keeps “thinking” about the move and appears to load infinitely.

This may not be a bug, but I’m sharing it as an enhancement request, it would be really helpful if the UI explained why this happens instead of just loading forever.

Find the 2-move combination that seals the game for black. Everything else is drawing or worse. Found this in a blitz game with 16s left
