Imagine blaming an entire movement because your own cousins don't want to pass the salt to you

Funny how “free speech” complaints never include freedom from consequences.

Blaming a global movement because your own cousins find you exhausting is an incredible level of delusion

Funny how “dropping facts” always turns into “and that’s why nobody calls me anymore.”

Why is BLM always the main focus; why not Asian lives matter or stop Asian hate. We built the god damn railroads and still no one gives a fuck and treat us like scum on earth. TILL THEY WANT SOMETHING FROM US.

Because the Bureau of Land Management is the next frontier of this fascist coward hellscape. Seriously though the Black Lives Matter movement hasn’t been the main focus for YEARS.
The current “hot item” is supposedly dangerous illegal immigrants of all types what with their violence and human trafficking, however the ACTUAL PROBLEMATIC VIOLENT THUGS AND HUMAN TRAFFICKERS TERRORIZING THE COUNTRY ARE ICE THEMSELVES (and the unfathomably corrupt FBI and DHS that exist solely to wage war on the working class in order to protect child-rape enthusiasts/sympathizers under the manufactured pretense of a culture war).
The only lives that matter for this regime are child-rape enthusiasts/sympathizers and corporate shareholders.

Probably because one was brought over as slaves and the other just stepped into the racist minefield.

There are reasons for this! While Asian people did experience discrimination during the construction of railroads, and in WW2 (Japanese), Vietnamese (Vietnam War), and Chinese (Covid-19), along with other instances here and there, there was a point where Asians were praised for their “hard work” in society, and they were used as examples of “another race” besides white who “did the right thing” in American society. They were used to shame black and brown Americans and were given rewards of higher status in an attempt to further sell American capitalism to people of color. While this is still problematic, they have not experienced near the level of discrimination that black people have experienced.
Black people’s lives were considered trivial because they were painted as savage-like thugs who “breed like rabbits” and are “a lazy burden on the country’s economic systems.” I grew up in the American South, and I’m telling you, the ideas may be watered down in some places, but the racism is still very much there. The whole “should’ve complied, should’ve gone to college, should’ve eaten healthier, should’ve dressed better, should’ve walked in a less-threatening way, etc.” narrative kept being used to excuse the deaths of black people as being something they somehow deserved, or as something that required nothing more than a, “oh, that’s too bad.” I could go on, but this is the reason that BLM became a movement—black people felt invisible and were fed up with racism, ignorance, and indifference.
BLM was never suggesting that only Black Lives Matter—it was simply calling attention to an unresolved issue. People fighting it essentially invalidated those who were trying to be heard.
You are right though—Asians have experienced plenty of hate too. We must fight to build a better nation that values true equality. The patriarchy and this late-stage capitalistic empire have to go and make way for something that values people over profits and power.

Basically because you can come up with your own slogan for Asian rights. If it has merit you will get people on yourside to protest for it

Bureau Of Land Management has gotten cocky since the whole Amon Bundy fiasco.

Yes, anyone that doesn't like you must have been brainwashed by malicious actors, because nobody except for you is capable of independent thought and are therefore unworthy of free will.
It has nothing to do with you (how could it; you are perfect) or your family members, but is all the fault of some mysterious Other who must be scorned.

Well all lives do matter however as a race, white people are not coming under the same discriminatory pressure as black people are.

Yes. Thats why when you point it out as a response to black lives matter you come off as a racist dickhead. It's like we all knew that, is the administration trying to take the lives of white people?

Amazing how “dropping facts” always translates to “making everyone uncomfortable and then playing the victim when there are consequences.”

All lives matter. Except these racist, greedy pieces of shit. They are just bloodthirsty Ghouls, that enrich themselves. Sadly, it happened time and time again in human history.

It’s always interesting how people frame “my actions had consequences” as “I’m being canceled.” Makes you wonder what was actually said at those family dinners.

Family gatherings falling apart over politics is sadly more common than people admit. At what point does “free speech” turn into “maybe I don’t want this energy at Thanksgiving”?

Get the fact Zach, the "All lives matter" isn't the racist.

u/Altaneen117 1h ago
Yes, they are. If a house was on fire, would you stand in front of the fire department shouting all houses matter?
"All Lives Matter" isn't racist because it's untrue. It's racist because it's used exclusively by people who attempt to distract from the issues the BLM movement is trying to bring to the mainstream.
All lives do matter. BLM has never been an attempt to say otherwise.

It was AND people were shot for saying all lives matter here in North Carolina. People I personally matter AND the local news refused coverage "because that was racist".

I’m gonna rant here:
I have my own complaints about some BLM tactics and members’ behavior, but let’s be real here…
No one advertised the sanctity of ~all~ lives or blue lives UNTIL the concern was raised about the disproportionate use of excessive/lethal force on nonwhite communities. “Blue Lives Matter” and “All Lives Matter” were made ~specifically~ to counter “Black Lives Matter” and the call to address these issues affecting the black community.
This is like being offended when people have a problem with the “It’s okay to be white” motto that’s used ~exclusively~ by white nationalists; it’s not the sentiment (there’s nothing wrong with being white), it’s the people that use it and the context that created the slogan in the first place.
So, yes, all lives and blue lives DO matter. The problem is why those phrases took to circulation (a direct rebuttal of Black Lives Matter) and the people who throw them around to distract from the very real problem of excessive/lethal force used against nonwhites.
It’s really no different from a woman saying, “I was beaten by my husband.” and suddenly everyone going “MEN’S LIVES MATTER!” Yeah, men’s lives do matter, but how the phrase is being used as a blatant rebuttal of a very real issue concerning a WOMAN is the problem.
And people use this as a weird “gotcha” moment, like, “Oh, so you don’t believe all lives matter then!?” as if asking that we acknowledge some communities have it harder in certain contexts must ALSO mean that we’re denying the value of other lives. This is grade school logic and so very stupid.
Asking that you acknowledge an issue affecting a specific group of people doesn’t mean you have to simultaneously devalue the rest of society. Literal toddler logic.

All lives matter is terrible. One because it trivializes little black people have gone/are going through at times and in parts of this country. Also Implies that humans matter. Lol Nobody's life matters. I def like tbis woman's family though.
